Ever since I was a kid, I've been traveling all over Brazil with my family, and I've always been totally into checking out new places, finding in each different place its cool quirks, accents, food, and traditions - Brazil is really the country of diversity. I was born in Mato Grosso do Sul down in the South Pantanal area, but I spent a bunch of years living up northeast where you've got those awesome sand dunes and warm beaches.
Nowadays, I'm back in the South Pantanal, hanging out in Bonito, which is seriously one of the best places for nature lovers in Brazil. It's got these pristine rivers, natural caves, and waterfalls that are just mind-blowing!
All these adventures growing up made me super passionate about travel and about my country, which led me to choose a career in tourism. I mean, how cool is it that my job lets me travel around Brazil and really get to know the place inside out? I'm all about helping travelers who want to experience the real Brazil, and do it in a way that's respectful to the environment and local communities. So, if you're up for some authentic and responsible Brazilian adventures, I'm your go-to person!
What places and activities do you specialize in?
"Brazil. We provide creative, responsible and quality adventure travel experiences in Brazil that aim to bring travelers closer to the country’s amazing geographical and cultural richness."
How did you get involved in travel?
"13 years ago I moved with my family to the northeast of Brazil, a very famous tourist destination for its amazing beaches and warm waters. I was finishing high school at the time and needed to choose a profession, and as I've always loved traveling, I've identified the opportunity to work with something I really liked.
I graduated with a degree in tourism 10 years ago and started working at an inbound tour operator that specialized in selling Brazil. Over the last 10 years at this company, I spent 6 years in operations, the first 4 years as a consultant and then 2 years supervising the operations team, before eventually joining the sales team 4 years ago.
I've had the opportunity to travel and to visit most of the destinations that we offer in Brazil and I love to explore the country whenever I can. After many years I am still in love with my job and all the amazing destinations and natural beauties that my country has to offer."
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"In 2014 I visited the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park for the first time and was impressed by the only desert on the planet that has ponds between white sand dunes. We did a trekking, walking among the smooth white dunes without any vegetation and refreshing on the ponds along the way. After a late afternoon picnic, we set up camp and overnight in the national park. What an experience!
The sunrise in the desert was so outlandish that I really think it was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. Next day we went back to the city and flew over the park with a small Mooney and during 30 minutes we could see the hundreds of dunes, lagoons and small villages as Atins and Baixa Grande. This trip can be extended to a 4 days trekking experience and I always recommend to the most adventurous clients!"

All transfers were a breeze and visiting local attractions with the guide meant we skipped queues and maximised out time and overall enjoyment.
I would definitely recommend kim kim and will be using them again for our next trip.

Hotel Reviews
Arena Copacabana Hotel
Rio de Janeiro
Great location on Copacabana beach and the staff were very friendly and looked after guests coming in and out.
Rooms were clean and spacious and ideal to lounge in during the evening, shame they did not have smart TVs but there was a large section of free channels.
Had a lot of choice for breakfast and the rooftop bar had great views of the surrounding area.
Hotel Intercity Manaus
Manaus
It was adequate for a nights stay but felt the hotel lacked character.
Amazon Premium Lodge
Manaus
Considering this was in the Amazon the lodge was amazing. Staff were amazing and super helpful and had fun with google translate to communicate some of the conversations.
We were really well looked after, the food was tailor made for my wife as she was a vegetarian.
Rooms were clean and comfortable and given the location you have to expect some bugs, we had fun with 2 tree frogs in the room, but they were harmless. AC unit in the room was a god send as even thought there was no wifi or tv in the room it was fine as all the activities planned throughout the day meant we were on the go most the time.

Pão de Açúcar (Sugar Loaf) at sunset
Rio de Janeiro
Had an excelled guide and she knew all the tricks to skip the queues which meant we maximised our time at Sugar Loaf. Having a drink and some nibbles on the terrace bar was amazing as the views were spectacular ...shame it was misty as we did not get to see the sunset but you can imagine it would be spectacular.
There was even a DJ performing at the top and there was a very safe and friendly vibe with all the locals and visitors.

Bus transfer was a bit squashed as we have lots of out tourists so the only negative would be to have a slightly larger mode of transfer or not over book passengers

Hotel Reviews
Hotel Soneca Plaza
São Paulo
I really enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Soneca Plaza in São Paulo. It was located right in the heart of the old town, which made it a perfect spot for a tourist like me who loves to walk around and explore. The hotel itself was quite modest, as per my preference. There wasn't much of a reception area, but the front desk staff was efficient and helpful. The food was decent with good fruit juices, and good breads and rolls. They also offered breakfast, which added to the convenience.
My stay at Hotel Le Massilia in Belém was satisfactory. It was located about a mile from the heart of things, which I didn't mind as I enjoy walking. There were plenty of places to find food and water nearby. The hotel had a pool which I used every day because of the hot and humid weather. Overall, while it was good, it was not as centrally located as I would have preferred.
Sandis Mirante Hotel
Santarém
The Sandis Mirante Hotel in Santarém was fine. It was located in a smaller town, on a hill and provided easy access to various areas. I enjoyed the fact that I could walk down to the waterfront area using the steps or take a longer, more gradual route. The hotel was modest with a small front desk and no real lobby, which suited my needs perfectly. There were also plenty of eating places within walking distance.
Hotel Saint Paul
Manaus - AM
My stay at the Hotel Saint Paul in Manaus was excellent. The hotel was probably the nicest of all the ones I stayed in. It was located very close to the heart of Manaus, near the Opera House area. The hotel was more upscale with a lobby area, couches, a TV, a nice pool, exercise equipment and a business center. Its location made it easy to walk to different restaurants and attractions.
Hotel Belo Alter
Santarém
My experience at the Hotel Belo Alter in Alter do Chão was not as positive. The place was a 45-minute drive from Santarém and there wasn't much to see or do there. The hotel itself seemed to be trying to be a luxury resort, but it fell short. The room was nice enough, but there was a lot of deferred maintenance and the beach area was not very appealing due to low water levels. The location wasn't ideal either, being a 30-minute walk from the town.
