I LOVE everything about Japan. I've been visiting Japan since 2015 and I now live in Tokyo. I am really passionate about showing you the real Japan, with genuine experiences and traditional activities.
I specialize in creating customized itineraries that showcase the authentic beauty of this incredible country. My love for Japanese culture and customs drives me to design unique travel experiences that go beyond the typical tourist paths. Over the years, I’ve built a network of local, authentic businesses, ensuring your trip is unique and special.

What places and activities do you specialize in?

"Everything Japan! Authentic experiences, culture and tradition, and of course, food. I'm seriously passionate about food, and Japan is simply the best country to experience it all. While my tours will take you to the main attractions, I'll also include some lesser-known restaurants, stunning side streets, and hidden gems. When I craft your itinerary, I always blend culture, tradition, and food, offering a balanced experience that includes the neon modern craze of Tokyo as well as nature, temples, and shrines.

Japan is so diverse that you'll want to see it all, and I've been organising tours for years to help you do just that. I'll work with your dates to ensure you see as much as possible during your stay. And most importantly, you'll eat some truly incredible, authentic food that I've worked hard to discover!"

How did you get involved in travel?

"I visited Japan for the first time in 2015 and got engaged to my now husband on the top of Mount Hiei, near Kyoto. We both fell in love with Japan so much that we decided to come back every year, until we eventually made it our home. In 2016, I started writing about Japan on a small blog, which grew to be recognised as one of the top go-to websites for Japan information. I even wrote a book on Japanese customs and manners. Over the years, people began asking us for personalised itineraries and tailored recommendations focused on authentic experiences. We were thrilled to see that everyone who followed my recommendations fell in love with Japan and returned again and again. I have now made it my mission to turn every Japan itinerary into a personalised story that follows your real interests, authentic experiences, and unbelievable food you won't find in any mainstream guides."

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"My most memorable travel experience was when we first landed in Tokyo. Everything was out of this world, and I had the most positive culture shock ever. From the moment I used the cleanest public toilet I've ever seen at Haneda airport, which sang to me for privacy, self-cleaned, and self-flushed with UV lights, to the ride on the monorail into the city centre, everything was mind-blowing. The chaos of incredible food smells at Tokyo Station was unforgettable, and just outside the station, I was struck by the deep silence. It turns out that people are so considerate that, in most parts of the city, Tokyo is actually quiet! I cannot wait for you to experience all of this."

I am a planner at my core and it was a huge leap of faith to trust someone else to plan the details of my solo trip. Cory exceeded my expectations and delivered an amazing experience in Japan. Cory optimized my long wish list of to dos with enough structure and flexibility to accommodate the unexpected. It was in that flexibility that provide me the opportunity to linger in a bookstore just a little bit longer, or pop into a small local coffee roaster and chat with the owner and learn about the beans he roasted on site and even met his mother who popped in - magic truly occurs in the moments between breaths. And the guides Cory partners with are such amazing people, each of them made the trip so special.

Cory’s in country support continued to provide the level of attention and care that she is known for. No trip or event is flawless but knowing that Cory was there to help solve for those unplanned situations made the trip so much better. I ended up having a few questions and a late train change request that Cory quickly responded to and managed for me - allowing for a seamless experience.

I absolutely cannot wait to go back with my family and work with Cory again. I recommend Cory, with absolute confidence, to partner with you on your trip to Japan.

We loved our guides, especially Pam. She is generous and kind and took us to places not on our itinerary. All the food tours were unique and enjoyable. Cory tweaked our itinerary based on our requests and offered unique experiences. I will recommend her services to friends. I appreciate having to ways to see Mt Fuji since Hakone gave us a foggy day when the ropeway wasn’t running. Along our journey people we met often asked about our favorite experience, a question I could not answer because each moment offered something special. That’s a credit to Cory. I do think it would be helpful to tweak itineraries a bit based on seasons as December days are shorter than spring and summer.

Hi Sara,
Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback. I’m genuinely happy to hear you had such a fantastic time in Japan overall, it was a real pleasure to be part of your journey.

Your comments are incredibly helpful as I continue to fine-tune every detail. Regarding the transfers: the original trip was planned for three of you. When a fourth traveler was added and your hotels changed, I immediately contacted the car company—twice, by phone and message—to confirm the updated information. They assured me everything was set, but unfortunately, that wasn’t reflected on the ground. Fortunately, I was monitoring things closely, spotted the issue in real time, and got in touch with the driver directly. The car arrived at the correct hotel shortly after, with only a brief delay, and I’m glad it didn’t interrupt your plans. That said, I took the experience seriously and have since moved to a new provider who’s been consistently reliable, responsive, and professional.

Hakone is beautiful, but its transportation system can be famously tricky, even for locals. That’s why I included detailed instructions, maps, and guidance throughout your itinerary. Still, I completely understand how navigating in a new country, can make things more challenging. That’s exactly why I stayed in close contact—answering messages and calls quickly—so you'd always have support when needed. Being available like that is something I believe makes a real difference for travelers.

What matters most is that you had a smooth, memorable, and meaningful experience, and I’m so happy to have played a part in that. It was a joy bringing your trip to life, and I’d love to help you explore even more of Japan next time. There’s always another corner to discover, and I’d be thrilled to plan it with you.

Warm Regards,
Cory
