"Travelling has always been one of my passions. I have had the opportunity to travel to some of the most beautiful places in Europe. In addition, I have had many exciting experiences working in some of them, such as Sweden and Norway."

Our trip to Norway was outstanding, thanks in part to Kimkim. The itinerary they put together for us was great. We had no issues with any of the transportation. We loved traveling on the trains and ferries. The hotels were perfect for our family - the kids loved the bunk beds! Not something you find in American hotels. The hotel was our favorite of the trip. The views are spectacular. The food is delicious. The staff couldn't have been more gracious and helpful. We had two rooms for four of us. They are minimal, with no tvs, but the gathering areas in the lobbies and outside were perfect for enjoying each other's company. They even had a shuttle you could use to get into Balestrand since it is a drive around a fjord to get there.

The setting is beautiful. Everywhere inside is a gorgeous view. It's about 12 minutes from "town" but there is a local bus and the hotel has a van.

Our ferry arrived a while before check-in but they were able to accommodate us when we got there. It's a bit of a walk from the ferry terminal but nothing too bad. We had backpacks which made it easy - you probably could take a taxi if you had a lot of luggage. Overall location was great though. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go.

This was a fun activity for us after walking around the city all day in the rain. It was raining on the trip too, but they have a tarp that keeps you dry and you can still see everything. The staff was very friendly and informative. When they say all you can eat shrimp, they mean it! We unfortunately didn't get to see a sunset due to the rain, but the lights in Oslo harbor were lovely.

I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The owner was very sexist and the food was bland and the worst meal we had In Norway. We would have preferred to stay in Bergen that night instead of spending 5 hours on this trip.

The hotel selection was good. Some excursions, not so. The Lofoten islands tour was by minivan, not boat as I assumed it was ( islands!). This should be disclosed. The 2 hour private sauna was 1.5 hours longer than it should have been! Waste of money
Still waiting for our kayak refund. Should have been disclosed these are double kayaks and people with flexibility issues ( knee replacement!) may have trouble getting in. Read more

Ethel really listened to our interests and built a trip allowing us to see a good portion of the country in our limited two week time frame. We had two excellent tours. The Food and Cultural Tour in Bergen was informative and fun. Our guide's love for the city was evident in her enthusiasm and in depth knowledge of the area. In Tromsø, Bernhard did a terrific job highlighting the history of Tromsø and the region. He helped us fall in love with the city. The learning throughout the trip was well balanced with physical actives and opportunities to soak in the beauty of the scenery. Norway in a Nutshell made for a long day, but it was so worth it to see so many incredible views. We snorkeled and kayaked. Our kayaking guide, Rune was incredibly helpful, thoughtful, and provided us with interesting insights into Norwegian life as well as a fun day of kayaking. Our accommodations were good and breakfast was always included. We enjoyed the over night trip on a cruise ship which made a side trip into Trollsfjord and through the islands of northern Norway. The midnight sun was spectacular!

The Kimkim team was very responsive to questions and worked with us to resolve two unforeseen issues. On one day activities were planned too close together, but in the end it all worked out. Additionally, in Tromsø, our itinerary said that we had reservations at the restaurant at the top of the gondola only to find out that the restaurant was no longer in existence. I would suggest providing information or suggestions on public transportation options in Svolvær. We spent over $100 on a taxi to get to our snorkeling excursion only to find out that we could have taken the bus for about $9. Needless to say, we returned on the bus!

Over all the trip went very smoothly and we felt each day was filled with great activities and adventures! I hope to work with Kimkim again. Thanks for an amazing trip!

The room was extremely clean and recently remodeled. The bed was very comfortable, but the view out over the harbor was spectacular! I couldn't bet enough of the comings as goings in harbor. Breakfast was outstanding offering a wide array of options. We were very pleased with this hotel.

The view from our room on the 6th floor looked right out over the harbor. It was absolutely beautiful! The hotel is situation very close to the downtown area making it an easy walk to the Polar Museum and downtown restaurants and shops.

The room itself was clean with a nice view of the channel leading into the harbor through one window but looked out over the parking lot from another. It had a very small sitting room for viewing the ships arriving through the channel which was nice. The bathroom was small and would have been okay except on of the panels on the shower door was missing making it challenging to shower without spraying a lot of water on the floor. The hotel had a nice spread for breakfast and the food was very good. The staff was helpful. One of the clerks posted some mail for me and they were very accommodating about storing our luggage for an evening departure. The common areas of the hotel were, however, very shabby - desperately in need of new carpet and paint.

This hotel is in a good location, close to lots of dining options and the fish market. Walk to Bryggen is about 15 minutes. The room was clean and a good size. The included breakfast was excellent. We liked this hotel, but it was not exceptional.

We loved our trip (despite being sick on 7/11 and missing Fjaerland). We particularly enjoyed the ferry and train trips! Great service and everything runs on time. Very impressive.
We loved Bergen (so much to see and do) and had fun in Balestrand and Flam. The hotels and breakfasts were very good. We found it interesting that you can not adjust the heat in each room…it’s done by management for each floor.

The hotel was perfect for the location - it could not have been more convenient. I felt quite poorly on Sunday, so that may impact this next comment, but I would send people to Rosendal first, then to Flam. We went to Flam on Saturday and Sunday to Rosendal. After 5 hours on the boat Saturday, in the "King of the Fjords," the Roesndal trip was slightly disappointing in comparison. It was still lovely, but one's mind naturally compares to prior similar events. But like I said, I was feeling quite poorly Sunday, so it might have just been my mood. We had great food and really enjoyed our time. My husband had never been and enjoyed the Sognefjord the most. I usually plan all our trips and appreciated being able to just "show up" for this without having done much work.

The location can not be beat. It has got to be the most convenient location in old town Bergen. The breakfast was fabulous. They said they started serving at 0730 but when we went down around 0700 to get coffee, they let us get started early since we had an early ferry. However, I can't recommend it for summer travel. The windows have child locks on them to keep kids from falling out (good thing) but they restrict air flow so significantly, that we baked all night long without airflow or air conditioning. And our room faced the alley so we heard the midnight glass recycle from the nearby restaurants. If you're going in the cooler weather, stay here. If not, find a place that might be cooler for sleeping.

Ethel and Julia were amazing! I have never used a travel agency to help book any of my trips, and I’m so glad we did. Our Norway trip took us to four different cities and each one was amazing. Our group included kids and adults and everyone just loved it. The activities and pace of the trip matched us perfectly. We had some train issues due to track repair and Julia helped us through every step and took away all our stress and uncertainty.
