Hamza EL Asely

My name is Hamza, your personal travel expert and my passion is to create your dream holiday in Morocco.

To say it simply, I am passionate about travel. I have always been a very curious person and being surrounded by family members who work in the travel industry for many years, allowed me the opportunity to become a travel designer.

I believe that travel is far more than an opportunity to relax and recharge. It is the opportunity to experience cultures, beliefs, customs, and ideas that are different from our own. It provides an opportunity for understanding, learning, adventure and inspiration.

From the moment you leave the house to your safe return. I want your holiday, your honeymoon or adventure hike, to be as special as it can be.

What places and activities do you specialize in?

"- Atlas Mountains
- Sahara Desert
- Imperial Cities
- Northern Morocco

I specialise in: Outdoor hiking, Cultural Tours, Community Projects, Outdoor Adventures, Local life, Custom-Made trips."

How did you get involved in travel?

"My passion for travel started a few years ago when l and went on road-trips with my brother Abdel, who is an experienced Tour guide and a Kimkim specialist.

I have accompanied Abdel on many treks and tours throughout the country which helped me gain an extensive knowledge of my country, its history and also its hidden gems which i am glad to share with my guests so they can enjoy a trip of lifetime in my beloved home country.

When I am not researching a trip for a guest, i am happily exploring a new places and experiences for myself and my friends – So many more places to visit and things to do!"

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"My favourite destination in Morocco is the Sahara desert, where the beauty of the people and landscapes is unsurpassed.

The colours change according to the sun position, so you never get tired to look around the cliffs, the sand dunes, caves, a rare tent in afar, some camels and endless sand dunes. A magnificent wilderness which made my heart fell in love with the place forever. "

Overall we had an amazing experience during our trip to Morocco. The hospitality of the people is incredible, food was delicious, the cities are enchanting and our driver Samir was absolutely the best! If you visit Morocco you definitely have to have Samir as your driver. He is kind, knowledgable, respectful, punctual and will show you the best local places and not only the ones were all tourists go. He knows the best spots for pictures and real Moroccan food.

We have used kimkim in the past to book other trips because they never disappoint.

Hamza and Said were quick to answer all our questions and give us tips to make sure we booked the trip of our dreams. They take out the stress out of travelling as you know hotels, transfers and activities are all booked beforehand.

Everything is well timed and organized and we felt safe at all times.

We met our driver Samir in the airport and let me tell you he is great! If we travel to Morocco make sure you request him! Not only he is a safe driver, puntual and very knowledgeable, he is always extremely helpful and kind.
He always kept the care impeccably clean and fresh for us. Gave us tips on where and how to deal with merchants. Brought is to the best hidden gema to eat. Explained us how to tip and haggle and told us many stories about his country and their culture. Truly an exceptional human being that always made us smile.

Thank you Samir for making our visit to your country extra special!

Our tour guide in Marrakech was Hanan! Kudos to her too! Very kind young lady. Knowledgeable and funny. She never pushed
us to buy and she genuinely cares for her trade.

When in Marrakech make sure you book the hammam experience! We love the exfoliation, mask and massage. The tea and the pampering where unparalleled.

To give you an idea of our vacation, here is the itinerary:
Marrakesh (3 nights)
Aït Benhaddou (1 night)
Merzouga (1 night)
Fes (2 nights)
Rabat (1 night)
Chefchaouen (1 night)

We liked our itinerary and really recommend visiting the Merzouga desert. The camel ride and watching the sunset on the dunes of the Sahara is a one in a lifetime experience. That being said make sure you book a luxury camp, which means having AC and a private bathroom in your tent, anything else might feel daunting, or at least for us.

The cooking class and mosaic workshop are also very fun. I wished the cooking class was in a more authentic kitchen instead of a super fancy riad as it would add value to the experience but it was still a lot of fun and our Chef Mounia was a delight.

Coming with an open mind is a must. Remember you are no longer back home. Be ready to haggle is part of the culture.

Ask before taking pictures as many people, specially in tourist spots like the main square in the Marrakech medina, are there for money and will expect a tip.

Culture is different and accommodations too. Instead of comparing, admire the richness of this country and adjust to what is being offered to you.

We were mesmerized by the beauty of the intricate work in the mosaics and the carvings and hand paint job in the cedar ceilings.
The quality of natural beauty products!
The kaftans 😍 the lamps, the leather work! There is sooo much to admire but above all we loved how kind and generous Moroccans are!

The food is delicious and the pastries and sweets too. The fresh bread, olives and mint tea a delicacy.

Thanks again Hamza, Said and Samir! We will be sire to be back!

Not only is he well versed in his country’s history and culture, he was incredibly resourceful in pointing out all of the small and wonderful places to stop, and making my group of 4, part of these experiences. He also provided practical advice with tips for safety and the understanding of local customs, both insightful and respectful of Moroccan culture. We felt like we were always in good hands, Tarik was always on time, flexible to our needs and kept us comfortable. We benefitted from the addition of Hamza, a guide in training, who brought his personal energy and kindness to our group. He was also special and will be a great future guide for your company. In the end, these two wonderful guides felt more like friends who were an integral part of our group, seamlessly integrating themselves into our travel experience of this enchanting country and enriching it beyond my expectations. This trip just for my husband and me and we had a just shy of a week to see some of Morocco before having to meet up with our daughter in Malaga, Spain. Hamza put together a trip that allowed us to see a lot but didn't feel hectic. Our driver, Reda, was wonderful. He spoke English very well, was fun to chat with and always very kind and polite when answering our many questions about the country and culture. I wish we had had more time. A particular highlight was Chefchaoen, the blue city, which was so beautiful and charming. The riad we stayed at was beautiful and well located and the hammam there was a great experience as well. I also enjoyed our guide in Fes very much as he is a scholar and had a lot to share about the relationship between Morocco and the Jewish population, which was fascinating and heartwarming. The only thing that was a disappointment was that we had planned a surf outing at the end and it was not the right season for a real surfer to catch waves. We ended up going for a swim and that was lovely. Next time we'll check on surf seasons before trying to integrate this activity into a trip.
