"At Totonal Viajes, we specialize in responsible travel in Mexico. As travelers ourselves, we know the negative impacts tourism can have on the environment but also on the people living in the country. This is what we want to change through our company.

I want to help you create the tailor made trip of your dreams in Mexico and to help you experience it in a way most people haven't. Whether you like discovering the incredible history of the country in the various archaeological sites, trekking in a lush tropical vegetation, learning about the Mexican customs and traditions with locals, be amazed by the incredible landscapes that can be found here or just relax on a paradise beach...then Mexico is for you! There is a Mexico for everyone !"

How did you get involved in travel?

"Originally from France, my first long stay abroad was in Ireland for my studies. Once I had experienced how enriching travel was, I caught the virus and have been continuing traveling ever since, mostly in Europe but I have also been in Brazil and to Senegal, the country of origin of my parents.
Everytime I came back from any of these trips, I felt richer, because this is what travel is: an enriching experience.
I have come to Mexico and have been able to discover its captivating history, its rich diversity, as much in terms of the various peoples living here but also in terms of the variety of landscapes it has to offer. With Totonal Viajes, I have the opportunity to share my passion for travel and to help you discover the colorful Mexico in a more responsible way!"

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"There is always something in every trip I made that I will keep with me forever. But if I had to pick just one experience, it would probably be my trip to Senegal. This trip was my first time out of Europe and first real experience in living in a totally different way than what I have been used to in France. Even though I have been immersed in the Senegalese culture my whole life, actually being there was something totally different. My parents come from a little village where there is no electricity or running water and people there live very simply mostly from agriculture and breeding. We would think that such a life is very difficult, and sometimes it is, but actually, I have never seen people more joyful, happy and generous as the ones I have met there. I have inherited this state of mind from my parents and this is something I cherish and try to cultivate in my everyday life."
