Liz Chreist
My favorite definition is-
Travel (travel-ǝl)-noun- The only thing you buy that makes you richer.
I have had the privilege of traveling to many countries around the world. Traveling close to the earth has provided me a window into different walks of life. I crave interacting with locals and experiencing all a region offers. I always take the time to stroll through remote villages or big cities to get a feel for what the environment offers. I love to explore historical castles, reach the peak of the tallest mountains, and let the ocean lap against my feet.
What places and activities do you specialize in?
"France, England, and Scotland offer some of the most diverse landscapes and cultural experiences in Europe — from iconic cities and dramatic coastlines to rolling countryside, ancient castles, and world‑class culinary traditions. My specialty is creating seamless, immersive itineraries that help travelers experience the best of these regions with comfort, authenticity, and ease.
In France, travelers can explore Paris’s timeless architecture, charming villages, sun‑drenched wine regions, and breathtaking coastlines.
In England, history and modern culture blend beautifully — from London’s energy to the Cotswolds’ pastoral charm and the rugged cliffs of Cornwall.
In Scotland, dramatic scenery takes center stage: misty lochs, medieval strongholds, the Isle of Skye’s otherworldly landscapes, and vibrant cities like Edinburgh and Inverness.
I love the connection between these countries — intertwined histories, distinct identities, and unforgettable experiences. Designing trips across France, England, and Scotland allows travelers to appreciate the contrasts and the harmony between them. How lucky am I to help bring these journeys to life?"
How did you get involved in travel?
"I became hooked on travel at a very young age. Road trips around the USA were my first taste of exploration, and that was the gateway to wanting to see more of the world. I moved to New Zealand and drove on every road on the South Island. From there, Europe's topography drew me in, and it's history, culture, and architecture provided ways to connect with the location and people. I didn't realize that feeling in my heart would become necessary and even addictive throughout my life. "
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"I will never forget the first time I visited Paris. It was so important to me to see the city lights at night and the city's vast expanse during the day. The city kept pulling us in directions we couldn't resist going. By the end of the first day, we had walked 17 miles exploring all we could, and there was still so much more to see. It's the city that just keeps giving. Packing hint- bring 2 pairs of walking shoes so you can alternate them to give your feet a rest day after day. "

stars to both. This is a more complete description of our trip. There were a number of changes in the original trip plans before we left. The Montparnasse
Tower closed for renovation. The Catacombs closed, cancelled all tickets and reopened,
with the possibility of getting a few tickets during the week before arrival. Notre Dame
stopped allowing guided tours inside about a week before we left.... Read more

I’m thrilled that Grand Hôtel du Palais Royal was such a standout. Their team is exceptional, and it’s wonderful to hear how warmly they welcomed you—especially with the suite upgrade on your final night. The comfort, location, breakfast, and A/C are all part of what makes this property such a gem, and I’m so glad it felt like the perfect Paris home base for you. I’m also happy that Bastide de Bellegarde offered the charm, authenticity, and hospitality we hoped it would. Their... Read more

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. I’m truly glad to hear that your trip felt both dynamic and centrally located — creating that “heart of the city” feeling was a priority from the start, and I’m delighted it matched what you were hoping for. I also appreciate your kind words about our guiding team. Dina at the Musée d’Orsay, Sara at the Louvre, Adam at Notre‑Dame and Sainte‑Chapelle, and your guide in Saint‑Rémy all bring such depth and care to their... Read more
