I m a Culinary Story Telling Tour specialist, For the last decade, he has been at the forefront of the gastronomic scene in Italy, always with a great desire to promote the le Marche region and the rest of Italy through its many unique fragrances and flavors which stay with you forever. I take pride in the historical and artistic atmosphere which has made the country envied throughout the world. Not least striving to let people experience this authenticity through its land, people, and typical products.
By sharing fascinating stories of local Le Marche people, farmers, winemakers, and artisans, a new generation will help ensure knowledge and continuity of the uniqueness of the Italian lifestyle. For this reason, I am investing a large part of its energy to protect its historic identity and promote it around the Globe.

How did you get involved in travel?

"I m starting more than 10 years ago, to promote my unknown and beautiful piece of a region called le Marche, to help the local community and local artisan, wine makers, cheese producers, and open mind travelers exciting to explore more than classic way, and have more slow day approaching, immersing in a terrific unique landscape and important history. My mission is to bring internationally travelers to explore more off beaten parts of Italy, touch more the ground learning local story teller "

Our trip would have been better had we stayed in one town eg Ostuni and done day trips from there. It was quite exhausting moving every day. Our accommodation was excellent except for Alberobello where we were required to climb up a high staircase. As we had informed you, one of our group was incapacitated and this caused us much angst but luckily the 2 men in charge of the hotel came to the rescue & organised dinner for us in our rooms. As you know we tried to assist you in the best possible way and changed several parts of your trip during the booking process, in order for you to still see everything you wanted to see which we added to your travel plan but my colleague Melanie and the booking team made it overall more comfortable when it was time to actually book everything.

There were several emails where Melanie always informed you of the changes and of course waited for approval before booking.

The hotel selected for the first night allowed you to also enjoy your time there and the meal was offered by our company as we realized it was tucked away, but was still a beautiful place and worth visiting. It offered everything we needed including the wine tasting and included time to relax before heading to your next stop.

Unfortunately the hotel in Alberobello hadn't informed us of the steps, although at the time of booking we had informed them that a member of your group had walking difficulties, and to apologise for this inconvenience Melanie called the hotel, provided our company details and offered you the meal in your hotel so you didn't have to go up and down the steps again and could enjoy a relaxing meal at your hotel. The hotel simply ordered it for us.

We also arranged free of charge baggage porters in Bari as we realized it was going to be easier this way for you, we did little adjustments in the background to make it more comfortable as possible which weren't initially included in the trip.
Melanie contacted you during your trip to check everything was ok, we don't like to bother over the phone every day just offer our best assistance during your trip so you know we are always available.

I hope you all had a lovely time and thanks again to your feedback It is really important for us to improve our services for the future.

We had several drivers and guides on our May 24- June 4 Sicily trip Our hotels were very nice, especially the last hotel in Ortigia, Algila Charme Hotel, which was lovely, and our room was large and beautiful. We had 3 wine tastings. the wineries of Firriato-Baglio Sorica and Principi di Butera were personal and great, but we did not like the Gambino wine tasting on Etna. The Gambino winery was in a pretty setting, but obviously catered to bus groups and was very commercialized and many... Read more

There seemed to be other choices on Etna.
The cooking classes were nice, with just the 4 of us. I am stiil waiting for a recipe from our great cooking teacher in Ortiga, however.
The Palermo street food tour was done very well with just the 4 of us. However the Catania street food tour put us in a group of 10 people. I expected it would be just the 4 of us. I could not always hear the guide because it is a busy area and there were 10 in our group. So I would suggest you check the size of the group.
Overall, the trip was well planned for our requests. I would give it a 5 star.

Our trip to Sicily was terrific. The drivers were very punctual and the guides were pleasant and very knowledgeable. We loved our walking tour of Palermo with Donilla. Montreale and the Palatine Chapel were awe inspiring. Learning about Sicilian street food as we ate our way through the market was such fun. We enjoyed our cous cous cooking class followed by a delicious lunch and wine tasting at the wine resort in Trapani. The ruins at Agrigento and in Siracusa were excellently and thoroughly explained by our guides. It was interesting to compare the street food in Campania to that of Palermo- both yummy in their own way. The hotel in Agrigento and the one in Ortigia were exceptional. Our hotel in Palermo could benefit from some renovation but the location could not have been better. We gave our cooking class in Ortigia an A+. A great meal and an excellent chef. Noto was a pleasant surprise in terms of architecture. Our jeep ride to Mt. Etna with the very affable Giuseppe provided the perfect ending to our tour. The only “miss’ was the Gambino winery which was very commercial and not up to the standards of our 2 other winery experiences. All in all, a super vacation. Hats off to Melanie for her planning and assistance!

Overall our experience with KimKim was wonderful...though it did not start out that way.

We first were assigned Moreno, who while kind and seeming eager to assist, was not as attentive as I expected. There were numerous times where he failed to respond to my questions in a timely fashion, and one time where I asked some questions, only to not hear back in well over a week. At that point, I questioned KimKim as to whether I should receive a new local specialist. The result was that Moreno would remain with us. Once the trip was secure, we failed to hear from him. While that may be "normal", I didn't feel good about the complete lack of communication.

About 8 weeks prior to our trip however, Melanie came on the scene to "assist" Moreno. She contacted me, introducing herself and well, she was AMAZING!!! She was engaging, provided me plenty of opportunities to get excited about the trip. She communicated with me about a variety of topics regularly. She was extremely prompt with her responses, when I had questions as the trip grew closer. I felt as though she was a member of our TEAM ITALY trip!! She even told us about her favorite cake from Pansa, an Amalfi paneterria. Once she took over for Moreno, it was truly the first time I felt that KimKim deserved a 5 -Star rating....and I messaged that to Melanie via What's App.☺

Most of our guides were amazing including Ina...our Pompeii tour guide and especially Nino, our Path of Gods tour guide!!! Antonio, our driver for our Amalfi Coast tour (which was added to our trip after Melanie contacted us, sharing that the boat company had canceled their tours to Capri due to 'angry seas'), was delightful, kind, and drove those very windy roads with immaculate care and caution. He took us to some special spots along the drive to soak in the "perfect" views of the coast!!!

Our hotels were fabulous...situated in wonderful parts of their perspective cities. We definitely indulged in the fabulous food, drink and culture of the people that surrounded those hotels.

I have already shared Melanie's contact info with one couple friend of ours and plan to pass her name along to others as they ask about our journey. SHE was TOP NOTCH, always available and attentive, and truly excited for us to experience her homeland!!

It was a LONG day of listening (830-4pm minus an hour for lunch) Our guide was brilliant, but she didn't seem to notice whether all of us were listening or not. I would have preferred a guide who also could meet us where we were...asking what our interests were regarding the Vatican and Colosseo, so as to have been talked WITH rather than talked TO about what we wanted to know.

Nino was incredible and our surprise lunch on the trail with Antonio the local herder on the mountain was simply THE BEST!!!

Our driver back from Amalfi to Sorrento was with Mario...who also happened to drive us from Naples Airport to Rome upon arrival. He was awful. He drove incredibly fast, making all 5 of us feel nauseous. We had done the same drive the day before with Antonio (as our trip to Capri was canceled) and none of us were nauseous with that driver. I honestly prayed that we would arrive back to the hotel safely. Please do not use him again!!!

The boat cancellation as you know was for your safety, especially from November the high sea can be dangerous, we had to cancel for your safety, but luckily we were able to turn it around within hours to make sure you had a memorable day as you wrote. So happy you had fun!

We checked the driver Mario and his speed, as you can imagine everything is recorded, was within speed limit but I understand the Italian motorways are a little fast and look crazy, but professional drivers have to respect speed limits or they lose their job and license. We will of course keep a check on this. So thank you for your comment.

Fantastic break in Italy ( Rome & Milan). From the start the car pick up went seamlessly and cars were all high quality Mercedes with very safe drivers. In Rome, we toured the Vatican (Museum, Sistine Chapel & St Peters Basilica) which was excellent but museum tour was very long ( 2.5 hrs plus) and far far too busy with some areas at a complete standstill. In Rome, we toured the Vatican (Museum, Sistine Chapel & St Peters Basilica) which was excellent but museum tour was very long ( 2.5 hrs plus) and far far too busy with some areas at a complete standstill. Our guide had encyclopedic knowledge, but even she was very surprised on the sheer amount of time the tour took 4.5 hrs).

The walking food tour in Rome was only average really with no real standout dishes, as we had tried a lot of the Italian dishes already. Tour guide was ok very enthusiastic but it would have been good to know where we were going next and how long the walk was, as it felt we were "walking blind" with no end in sight sometimes. Now this may have been as a direct result of all the walking we were doing in Rome anyhow and we had 20,000 steps in the tank already. Also we were asked to be early for the meet up, which we were but the guide showed up a little late and I was slightly concerned frankly.

Hotel was functional, clean and we only used it to sleep which was fine as the room was air conditoned ( Doria Palace Boutique Hotel). The list was so small it could only take a single case or just about fit one person, so folks with walking challenges be aware.

Train trip to Milan was fine and pick up seamless. Hotel was larger ( Una Hotel Cosani) and in a great location. The Last Supper tour was excellent and included a taxi ride ( less walking) to the Duomo. We asked the guide at the start the scope of the tour and we reduced the duration from 4 hours to 2.5 which was perfect. In contrast to the Vatican tour, the Last Supper groups were restricted to 15 people at a time and this really enhanced the experience. Our guide was excellent, very accommodating and knowledgable and even showed us a nice local coffee shop which was off the "tourist grid".

Moreno from KimKim was great to deal with, very efficient and knowledgable. Quick replies to questions and was there if we needed him.

Did not love our stay here, our room needed a bit more cleaning, we also requested to have sea view rooms which we did not get, no water in the rooms, but you can purchase at the front desk, also charges for coffee if you did not make the breakfast time and also charges for beach towels.
