Nice hotel in a very convenient location for anyone catching an early flight. We didn’t spend much time there since we checked in, slept, and headed to the airport first thing in the morning, but it served our needs perfectly.

First‑class hotel, and we had a wonderful experience with the staff. The owner was onsite and always greeted us warmly whenever we crossed paths. Highly recommend this hotel for other visitors.

Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach are must‑see stops for any visitor. I highly recommend visiting both the lagoon and the beach—the glaciers and drifting icebergs are stunning, and walking down to Diamond Beach is absolutely worth it. We planned to take the Zodiac tour, but high winds caused it to be cancelled.

If it’s already on your route, it’s worth a quick stop, but in my opinion it doesn’t stand out the way the other waterfalls we visited did.

We really enjoyed our stay in Akureyri, and I recommend that anyone doing the Ring Road spend at least one night here to explore the city.

The cave is right along the route, making it an easy stop as you explore the area, but in my opinion it’s not particularly memorable and could be skipped without missing much.

Did not visit as Noga indicated the columns had a lot or erosion this past spring, plus the weather was not good that day with heavy wind and rain.

Vestrahorn Mountain was nice to see, but the black‑sand beaches—with their dunes and tufts of grass—were the real highlight.

Hengifoss and Litlanesfoss were definitely worth the stop, and the hike itself was incredibly scenic as you make your way toward Hengifoss.

We appreciated our visit and would recommend it to fellow travelers.

Did not stop to explore as it was raining really hard and very windy. Was bummed the weather was poor that afternoon and not able to spend more time there.

We just stopped for a few minutes, and it was perfectly fine for a quick visit.

We really enjoyed our stay in this village. I highly recommend that future visitors base themselves here when exploring Eastern Iceland.

Stuðlagil Canyon was certainly worth the visit, and I would highly recommend it to future travelers. The basalt column formations were remarkably striking.

I’d rate this stop as fairly average and wouldn’t recommend going far out of your way to see it. That said, the south part of the canyon was genuinely striking—very cool formations and beautiful scenery—so it’s worth visiting if you’re already nearby.

We didn’t do the entire cliff walk from Arnarstapi to Hellnar, but starting from Arnarstapi was wonderful. Even a partial hike offers gorgeous coastal views, making it a stop well worth your time.

We truly enjoyed our one‑day stay in Reykjavík. It’s a vibrant, walkable city, and I’d recommend that any traveler to Iceland spend at least a day taking it in.

I’m really glad we stopped to explore the sod homes. Buying tickets to go inside made the visit far more meaningful and was well worth the time and money.

The whale‑watching safari was a bit of a disappointment, as we only saw a couple of whales briefly surface far off in the distance. Still, we understand that with tours like this, sightings are never guaranteed. The tour group and the boat was good though.

Definitely one of the highlights of our trip, and I highly recommend it to future visitors. It was incredible to experience remote parts of Iceland that are only accessible by 4WD. Our guide, Lilly, was excellent.

The Skógafoss waterfall is definitely worth a stop—its power and beauty make it a memorable visit.

Dettifoss and Selfoss were truly remarkable, and I would strongly recommend them to future visitors.

We really enjoyed visiting all the sites recommended on the Geological Wonders of Lake Mývatn tour. The Grjótagjá Cave was a bit underwhelming, but everything else was fantastic. I highly recommend bringing head nets—the midges can be overwhelming. A friend suggested this before our trip, and my wife and I were very glad we listened.

The Private Sturlureykir Horses Riding Tour was really interesting. We learned a lot about Icelandic horses and their unique fifth gait. The horse farm was fascinating, and the ride itself was enjoyable. The farm even baked special rye bread in steam vents, which we got to taste and learn about. It was located inland in the northwest part of the island, about two hours away by car.

The Icelandic Food Walk was really good. I enjoyed it a lot. It was a small group of about twelve to fifteen people, which made the experience more personal and enjoyable.

The Myvatn Buggy Adventure Tour was okay. We had a good time getting off-road and seeing the landscape, but it wasn't particularly unique to Iceland. It felt like a typical buggy ride experience that you could do anywhere.

The Vatnshellir Lava Cave Experience was good. Although we had been in lava caves before, this one was deeper and we learned a lot. We almost missed it due to running late, but the kimkim helpline was very responsive and helped us confirm the timing. We made it in time and had a great tour.

Couldn't love a place more.

The Lava Show in Vík was an incredible experience. It made me feel like a kid again, seeing something so unique and fascinating. It was very informative and my son, who was seven at the time, couldn't stop talking about it for the rest of the trip. Truly awesome.

The Geothermal Bakery Experience was something we had seen on a travel show and were really excited to try. It did not disappoint. The experience was awesome and perfect for our family. We loved it and found it very unique and fun.

Our guide Andre/Snowy, was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and engaging. Our kids were the only kids on the tour (they love trying new food!) and they were obsessed with Andre. He told them stories about growing up in Iceland and he talked to them while still staying engaged with the group. This was a very memorable experience for us all.

Our room was pretty small and shower water pressure was not good. They had a hot tube and a sauna which was nice. Breakfast didn’t start till 8am which is a problem because we had to catch an early flight

Rooms were the biggest we came across. Breakfast was standard. The texture of the pillow and comforter was a very interesting choice.

Very nice hotel. Restaurant was amazing and so was breakfast. They have spacious rooms and we loved the sauna and hot baths. Staff even have a feature to call your room if the northern lights are out

Nice rooms with pretty Mountain or lake views. Restaurant was average but they seemed understaffed especially when a big tour group came in. Doors to the room were a challenge to lock.

Loved the farm to table experience here. Rooms were a bit smaller and rustic. We were not able to open windows due to the very prominent sulfur smell from the geothermal areas which made the room hot. Shower pressure was great. Restaurant was great and we loved being able to see the cows as we ate. You can also go pet the cows and the dogs!

This hotel was a bit of a maze to get to our room but the rooms were spacious. They don’t have parking spots for guests which was a bit annoying and could be an issue on weekdays when parking is not free. Rooms were spacious and breakfast was good!

Room was a bit dated but was spacious. Weird fold out shower doors were different. Breakfast was above average with a fair amount to choose from. We love the hotel cat!

Pretty average hotel. Beds were comfortable and they provided a fan which was nice because it was on a busier street so we didn’t want to open windows. Location was great. Breakfast was average.

This was an awesome experience. We had amazing weather and a great guide who really explored with us. Our group was about 1/4 of the size as the other company which allowed us to see a lot more. Our guide even found us an ice cave!

Town is surrounded by beautiful waterfalls and mountains. The town itself is small so you really need about 30-40 minutes to walk around the whole thing

Pretty waterfall. Can drive to two different parking lots. One side you can climb down and get on the rocks which makes for a good photo! All the options for paths makes it accessible to all ages

This was a great adventure and Maria was awesome. Our only negative comment is that this tour company has you walk about 30 minutes to the start whereas other companies drive you right to the base.

Awesome hotel in the Icelandic countryside. The large sized rooms are immaculate and well-appointed. Comfortable king--size bed. Hotel staff service was very good, as was the food in the in-house full-service restaurant. Outdoor spa attached to room, very nice! Highly recommend.
