Sebastian Prino

Hi,
My name is Sebastian, a travel agent specializing in France, with a particular focus on outdoor and gastronomic activities. I believe that traveling should be more than just visiting popular tourist destinations; it should be an immersive journey that connects people with the heart and soul of a place. I take pride in crafting itineraries that combine the breathtaking landscapes of France with its rich culinary traditions, ensuring that each trip is a unique and delicious adventure. Whether it's exploring the vineyards of Bordeaux, hiking in the picturesque Alps, or savoring the finest French cuisine in charming bistros, I'm dedicated to creating tailor-made journeys that leave a lasting impression.

What places and activities do you specialize in?

"I specialize in crafting travel experiences primarily within France.

My expertise extends to the entire country, thanks to my extensive travels throughout its diverse regions. While living in Marseille, I am particularly well-equipped to organize tailor-made trips in the beautiful South of France, which allows me to create unique and personalized itineraries that showcase the culture, landscapes, and hidden gems of the region.

Whether it's the enchanting Provence, the glamorous French Riviera, or the picturesque countryside of the Dordogne, I can design trips that cater to a wide range of interests and preferences.

My aim is to provide the best activities and itineraries for everyone, ensuring that each journey in France is an unforgettable experience."

How did you get involved in travel?

"I was sparked by a life-changing experience. At the age of 20, I embarked on a two-month journey across Europe, and during that trip, I fell in love with the world. The diverse cultures, the rich history, and the breathtaking landscapes I encountered ignited a deep fascination with exploring the globe and it hidden treasures.

This profound connection to travel inspired me to pursue it as a career. After my journey, I decided to formalize my knowledge and commitment to the industry. I enrolled in a program to study tourism, and I dedicated myself to learning the ins and outs of the field. Ultimately, I earned a diploma as both a tour guide and a technical specialist in tourism.

My education and passion have come together to create a career that allows me to share my love for travel with others. I now work as a travel agent, helping people discover France's gems by connecting my clients to great and special experiences led by local people willing to share their culture and secrets.

Travel is not just a job for me; it's a lifelong passion that I'm fortunate to turn into a profession."

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"One travel experience I'll never forget is a month-long road trip through Spain with my parents in 2013.
We began our journey by renting a car in Barcelona, and from there, we embarked on an unforgettable adventure. The road led us to some of Spain's most captivating cities, including Madrid, Cordoba, Granada, and Salamanca. Along the way, we explored the rich history and diverse cultures of each place.

From the grandeur of Madrid's royal palace to the mesmerizing beauty of the Alhambra in Granada, the trip was a blend of history, architecture, and culinary delights. What made it truly special was the quality time spent with my parents, sharing stories, laughter, and creating lasting memories.

This road trip remains etched in my heart as an extraordinary and cherished travel experience."

Hi Jennifer,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us! I'm thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the initial questionnaire and how quickly the trip plan came together. It's wonderful to know that the experiences exceeded your expectations—this is always our goal!

I also appreciate your detailed feedback about the hotels. It’s great to hear how much you loved the unique charm of places like Domaine de la Tortinière and Hôtel Belle Normandy, and I’ll be sure to share your kind words with their teams. For Hôtel Lorette in Paris, I understand the room size wasn’t ideal—thank you for flagging that, as it helps us better match preferences in the future.

Regarding the activities, I’m sorry the weather affected your D-Day sites tour. I’m glad the guide went above and beyond to include an extra stop.

Your glowing feedback about the wine tour warms my heart—I knew you’d enjoy it! It sounds like the guide made it a truly memorable and delicious experience.

Thank you again for traveling with us and for your thoughtful review. It was such a pleasure planning this trip for you, and I hope we can create another amazing journey for you in the future!

Wishing you many more incredible travels,

Dear Dix,

Thank you for your honest feedback; it’s always valuable for us to learn and improve. I sincerely apologize for any frustrations you experienced during the planning process and appreciate the time you’ve taken to share your thoughts.

Regarding the delivery of the travel book, I usually send these one month in advance. In your case, I sent it closer to departure (10 days prior) because I was waiting on some confirmations to ensure accuracy. I understand how this might have caused concern, and I’ll be more proactive in managing expectations about timelines in the future.

Throughout the process, I made every effort to be available and responsive, with seven versions of the trip plan to reflect your evolving preferences and last-minute requests, such as the rental car. Some of the difficulties you encountered, like finding the correct trip plan version, might have been resolved by clicking "Show More Trip Plans" on the platform. I’ll ensure clearer instructions are provided moving forward to avoid confusion.

As for the name discrepancy, your daughter's name appeared because it was originally entered as a traveler by you. When you asked for this change, I promptly updated it. One voucher still reflected her name because it was requested from the supplier before the update. However, I assured you this was not an issue, as the vouchers were not nominative and remained valid for your trip.

I value your input and regret any misunderstandings that may have occurred. If there’s anything further I can do to address your concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Thank you again for choosing us, and I hope we’ll have the opportunity to make your next travel experience even smoother and more enjoyable.

Warm regards,
Sebastian

Waiting in line that long must have been frustrating, especially after planning for a seamless experience. I’ll look into this with the provider to better understand what happened.

Paris. Nice, Marseille, and Bordeaux were wonderful but the biggest surprise was the small, quaint city of Amboise.
Train travel was easy to navigate and gave us time to relax and see the changing countryside.
Again, had a great vacation and thank Sebastian for making all this possible.

Sebastian put together a wonderful first time visit to France! I really liked the neighborhood of our hotel in Paris, where it was easy to walk to nice eating and shopping places and it felt safe and clean. Our tour guide Sabine was kind, patient, and knowledgeable on our guided fashion/shopping experience. Harry, who was our guide for Palace of Versailles, was knowledgeable and had a good sense of humor. The hotel was nice with good food. In Marseille, my favorite was the guided walking tour, a self walking tour the local African/French markets, and our gourmet restaurant meal. Ezekial was our walking tour guide and was so patient with my mom and Susan as they needed to end the walking tour early; he helped them get a ride back to the hotel. The hotel in Marseille was my favorite with the decor, food, and lovely kitchen and home-style way of serving breakfast. Nice was great as well and we enjoyed our full day tour to Monte Carlo, Eze, and Monaco with our guide (unfortunately I did not record his name in my notes; he lives very close to the hotel we stayed in in Nice). He shared a lot of knowledge with us and drove safely. The hotel in Nice was not quyite as nice as the ones in Paris and Marseille but everyone was friendly and the location was very close to attractions in the Old Town and shopping, which we all enjoyed. We did have a few small challenges knowing when to get off of the trains to Nice and Marseille as the announcements were difficult to understand (we are not fluent in French) and finding elevators/escalators for painful arthritic knees in metro stations was tricky. The boat ride in Marseille for the Calanques National Park was a bit rougher and more wet than we anticipated. I think we all thought the boat would be larger and a smooth laid back ride, but the sea cliffs were lovely. All in all, I really enjoyed the trip and would love to visit all of these areas again and many more in France in the near future. Thank you!

After walking by the cathedral and visiting the cloister, we stopped at a confectioner's shop and got to have delicious macarons. Our final stop was so cool - a rooftop restaurant (the highest in Albi) with a view of the city to enjoy while having a glass of wine or cocktail and sharing an enormous charcuterie board with three cheeses, pate, many meats, peppers, pickles, and lovely crusty bread. I would advise anyone booking with Kimkim to be VERY specific about what you want to do and the type and location of the hotels you want to stay in. We had one hotel in an area that we never would have picked ourselves, everywhere else we stayed was lovely. Once you arrive you can't cancel plans for a refund so the planning process is critical and Sebastian was very patient and diligent during the planning process.

This was our first trip to France so we didn’t know what to expect going in. Sebastian and the team at Kimkim made it effortless to travel through France.
We were picked up by a driver upon arrival to Paris, and transported to our hotel.
Most of our activities were booked, including a bike tour of Paris, and a guided tour of Versailles palace.
The team had purchased our train tickets to Aix en Provence and arranged a guided tour of surrounding villages.
We had a fantastic tour of Marseille’s national park on a speed boat. This was quite a treat!
We went to Nice and had a fantastic experience. A private tour of Monaco, arranged by the Kimkim team was one of the high points of our visit to France.
We look forward to working with Kimkim in the future for other visits to Europe.
All accommodations we stayed at were very clean and comfortable.
Their pricing was fair compared to some other companies we tried to work with.
I highly recommend this company for anyone traveling to Europe.

Aparthotel Adagio Nice Promenade des Anglais
Nice

The staff were helpful. The apartment was very clean. And the location was excellent. It overlooks the ocean. It was nice to relax at the balcony, and gaze at the ocean. Also, was nice to walk across the steeet and be at the beach. We ate at Cocoon restaurant right along the beach and the food was delicious! Note:They charge 25 euros to get your room cleaned if staying less than 8 days. 5 euros per towel is charged if you want towels replaced.

Francesc was my favorite front desk person by far. She was very helpful from the day we checked in. I left my purse at the front desk when we checked out and she helped us arrange for an ups pick up. My purse was delivered to me when we arrived in Nice, with everything intact. Thank you so much!!

This was a great adventure tour of Paris. It rained most of the day but that did not dampen our spirits. It was a little scary at times navigating the streets of Paris on bikes, on streets with cars. Our tour guide was excellent and told the best stories about the history of the city and France in general.

What can I say this was my family’s all time favorite activity for our entire trip. Our Chef was truly talented and had many helpful tips. We made multiple different pastries. My whole family took this class and it was fun to learn to make croissants from scratch with my husband, my 16 year old son and my 13 year old daughter. We plan to make more pastries at home from the recipes we received from the class. Highly recommend this class.

We traveled with metro to the location. It always felt like an adventure to travel and navigate the metro system since we don’t have any subway transport in our city of residence.
