Will Osolinsky
I love Colombia - It’s been rated as the happiest place in the world, and for good reason! People here welcome you to enjoy their rich and deep cultural heritage.
You’ll be greeted with a smile and will carry your own for long after you leave.
I love to talk with intellectually curious travelers who seek out unique and enriching experiences. My travel philosophy is that life and travel are closely intertwined - we grow through our experiences and those moments need to be crafted with care. I’m fortunate to share this passion with every guest that we guide on their path.
What places and activities do you specialize in?
"Colombia. We specialize in hand-crafting unforgettable experiences that showcase the real people, culture, and adventure to be found in the second most biodiverse region on the planet. Our greatest joy is when travelers tell us that their trip was so much more than expected.
The keys to truly enriching life experiences are not happened upon by chance, they’re crafted. That’s the truth of travel and my goal is to craft life-changing moments that connect visitors to the Colombia I love."
How did you get involved in travel?
"I'm originally from California, and friends would always call me a ‘Nomad by Nature’. Growing up, my dad made it his personal mission to show us the world - we would hop in the car whenever possible and explore all we could. Because of this upbringing, I knew I wanted to experience what it would be like to live and work abroad.
After university, I accepted a position with the Peace Corps in Ukraine and firmly took a step off the beaten path. My work involved developing deep relationships with community leaders and putting structure around their plans to create a better life. Later in life Peace Corps once again led me towards new walks of life when I left a cushy tech job to pursue a high impact project on the Caribbean coast of Colombia. I fell in love and found True Colombia Travel where I now work with my best friends to show the most authentic side of this magical place.
We are fortunate to share the best that Colombia has to offer in the most responsible way possible. We love to give our guests an inside look at the true, modern day Colombia."
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"Some people have a way of being in the right place at the right time and lucky for us, we knew right where to find Captain Chuksy.
Chuksy has an eagle eye for spotting the sea's hidden treasures and after carefully maneuvering our boat into position, we slipped into the warm Caribbean water (mostly) unnoticed. Right below us was living proof that giants do exist - A modern day dinosaur at over 20 feet.
Whale Shark! Two Whale Sharks! oh my god I’m dying!!!!!!
Elusive and docile, the world’s largest fish is rarely seen and studied even less. We watched them feed and laze about before witnessing their truly awesome power in a few majestic thrusts. And this was just the beginning of a most rewarding trip to the Caribbean."

A very good trip. Tatiana and Pablo were great guides and we all enjoyed the places we were at. Favorites were Bogota and Salento. Great food and lots of fun.
Just a few hiccups, not unexpected in South America.
Some suggestions for future travelers around Christmastime.
Do Salento on the 24th and Christmas Day. Everything is open there.
Do the coffee farm in Salento on one of the days instead of Cocondo. Too many bugs at Cocondo. We all got eaten up despite the repellent.
Don't do Medellin on the 24th. Everything is closed.
Thanks.
