Belle-Époque villas dot the town center, and its ideal year-round climate continues to make Opatija a draw no matter the season. While there isn’t much in the way of beaches, the lovely promenade stretches the whole length of the waterfront, while a new wave of restaurants make Opatija a rewarding stop when taking a road trip along the coast.
