Wonderful trip to Morocco

This trip was a mother/daughter trip for the first time since covid and it couldn’t have gone better!! Mohammed, Said and our driver, Ilyace were amazing! We were there during the earthquake and Said reacted very quickly to ensure that we were safe. Our local guides in Fes, Essaouira and Marrakech were great and very knowledgeable about their cities. My only quip was that the Fes and Marrakech tours tried to take us to a rug co-op (we did one in Fes) and we ended up at a Berber apothecary co-op twice as well. There didn’t seem to be communication as to the activities we had completed in a previous city. Some of the stores also felt very pushy for sales. But that’s definitely not Said, Ilyace or anyone with KimKim/Original Travels fault!
Hotel Reviews
We didn’t get to stay here because of the earthquake. We were moved to hotel les tres palmiers, so this review is based on that. The hotel was fine, everyday after running the AC for a bit a putrid smell would come into the room for a few hours which was not great.
We only stayed one night but this hotel was so cute! We wish we could’ve stayed more to enjoy the pool
This riad was gorgeous! And we were So impressed with the helpfulness of the staff
This riad was definitely a miss… there appeared to be some miscommunication with the riad and said as to the condition of the room that was booked. It had no AC/fans and no airflow what so ever. My mother and I rebooked ourselves at a different location
Only stayed for one night but a great hotel! Big room and bathroom, very clean!!
This hotel was probably one of our favorites! It was so cute and unique and the breakfast was amazing

It was a pretty view but we had to pay an entrance fee
My mom and I probably could’ve skipped this. It was historical, of course, and the ruins were amazing but it didn’t really interest us
This was a great tour! Our guide Adit(?) was sooo knowledgeable about this city and really was able to guide us down all the alleys safely
Great tour but he wanted to take us to some co-op locations we had been to already in Fes. We ended up at a Berber apothecary again and got another presentation about their traditional medicines.
We skipped going here. We had a long day of travel after getting redirected after the earthquake and were simply not interested
Our guide here was amazing!!! So kind and friendly and really took us to some great spots like a wonderful art museum
