Kimkim is a great option to organise travel for those of us who are short of time.
The process of selecting an itinerary and the suggestions as to activities to do during the trip were spot on.
Both drivers I had over my time in Morocco (Hamid and Noureddine) could not have been more friendly, professional and helpful.
I would definitely recommend Kimkim to others and Megan and her team are to be commended.
Hotel Reviews
Industrial chic meets traditional riad. Great location in the Medina (old city) and super helpful staff. Wonderful decor and ambience. I highly recommend EspritBleu for all travellers.
The lobby area and lower rooms seem lovely. However my room was over the kitchen and sometimes quite noisy. While very clean and cosy it was showing its age and could do with a makeover.
Very clean, comfy bed but the hotel entirely lacks any sort of personality or charm. Its restaurant needs a lot of work on its breakfast menu and the chef who does the dinner service could be a lot better. It advertises that it has a bar, which it does (the structure at least) but does not serve alcohol like the other larger hotels nearby. I ordered a breakfast pack for an early morning departure and this did not eventuate (miscommunication between the front desk and the kitchen or the kitchen forgot (which was what the front desk claimed)).
Activity Reviews
My driver Noureddine undertook the guiding of this tour himself rather than engaging a tour guide. As such the tour was quite perfunctory, with little to no historical context to the place and only a very short walk through the city streets, which actually had some quite interesting art.
The guided tour was informative and gave me a good overview of the city. It allowed me to identify things I wanted to see more of and visited by myself later on.
This was a great experience. The night market in Marrakech is a real chance to try different foods and experience an authentic night out in Morocco. Loved it.
Khamal the guide was incredibly knowledgeable and provided great information along the way during the tour. He was probably the best guide on my trip.
Best tagine of my trip! Good company from Megan's nephew (?).
This was a great experience. Interesting tour of the winery followed by the wine and goats cheese tasting. Three different types of goats cheese (from just made to aged for 3 months - full pieces of each), warm out of the oven bread, olives, olive oil and four different types of wine. Not just tiny tastings, but good sized glasses and offers of more!
Hi Alison,
Thank you for your review! We're glad you had a great time experiencing Morocco. We've also noted your feedback on Riad Ghita and Pestana Hotel, as well as the guided tour of El Jadida.
Thank you again!
