Hotel Reviews
Skuggi Hotel Reykjavík by Keahotels
Reykjavík

Rooms are tiny-I wasn't even able to sit at the desk AND open the door to the bathroom at the same time. Also, the room was never cleaned. I stayed 3 nites and never did a housekeeper visit the room or even drop off fresh towels. Breakfast buffet is fine although I would have liked for it to have been available a bit earlier (say 6 or 6:30am instead of 7am).

Authenticity & Character
The hotel didn't feel that it had any Icelandic character.

Hotel is not near any town of significance but is very close (10 minute drive) to Fjadrargljufur Canyon which is nice. The sink and vanity size in this hotel was probably the smallest I've ever seen. There is virtually no place to set your toiletry bag.

This is an excellent excursion if you've never been to or seen a glacier up close. The pictures in the brochures are not as impressive as the real-life experience which is rare. Highly recommend
