Day 1: Arrive in Mexico City, Explore

Welcome to Mexico! After checking into your hotel, you will have free time to rest. Then go for a stroll through the historic center or explore the neighborhoods of Roma and Condesa, full of art galleries, cafés, shops, bars, and restaurants. 

Day 2: Mexico City Tour

Filled with beauty, culture, and history, Mexico City has so much to offer. On a city tour, you'll see the Palace of Fine Arts and the main square in the city, known as the Zócalo. Make a quick stop at the House of Tiles, which was once a Spanish palace, then visit the magnificent National Palace and the Metropolitan Cathedral and its chapels and bell towers. Move on to see the incredible collection of pre-Hispanic art at the National Museum of Anthropology.

At night, you'll attend a performance of Ballet Folklorico de Amalia Hernandez, one of the best traditional shows in the city. Then head back to the hotel to relax. 

Day 3: Guided Visit to Teotihuacán

Today, you will be picked up after breakfast to visit the amazing archaeological site of Teotihuacán—the largest, most influential, and most revered city in the history of the New World. The city flourished in Mesoamerica's Golden Age. You'll learn all about it on a guided visit to the site.

Day 4: Monumental Cholula & Puebla

Today, on the way to Puebla, stop in the town of Cholula to see the Great Pyramid of Cholula, the largest pyramid in the world. From a distance, it looks like a large hill topped with a church. Tour the site before moving on to the city of Puebla. Tour the historic center, considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site, then head back to Mexico City and go out for tacos and drinks in the evening.

Day 5: Fly to Mérida, Afternoon City Tour

Today you catch a domestic flight to Mérida. Upon arrival, check into your hotel—your base for the next two days—and explore the city. On an afternoon tour, visit its main attractions, including the impressive cathedral and busy Montejo Avenue.

Day 6: Explore Chichén Itzá

Today, you'll tour the Maya ruins of Chichén Itzá, once the most venerated center of worship and pilgrimage on the Yucatán Peninsula. Its main draw is the Pyramid of Kukulkán (El Castillo), though there are many significant Maya and Toltec buildings, sculptures, and reliefs of interest—the Temple of the Warriors, the Hall of the Thousand Columns, and the ball courts, to name just a few. Have lunch before traveling to Ik kil Cenote for a refreshing afternoon dip.

Day 7: Depart Mérida

Wake up and enjoy a delicious Mexican-style breakfast. Then you will be transferred to Mérida International Airport to catch your flight home. Safe travels!
