Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pedra Bonita Hike + Hang-gliding (or Paragliding)
Today, hike to the top of Pedra Bonita to get a rush of adrenaline on a tandem hang-gliding flight (choose to paraglide if you prefer)! The hike is moderately strenuous and leads to one of Rio's most famous summits, with views of the city and surrounding mountainsides.
The summit is 2273 ft (693 m) high and is located in the Tijuca National Park. Thanks to the sharp cliffs on one side, this precipice has the only gliding flight take-off ramp in all of Rio, and it's popular with travelers worldwide.

Day 2: Christ the Redeemer and Downhill MTB to Vista Chinesa
Visit the world-famous statue of Christ the Redeemer, which towers over Rio from a steep mountain point. A pleasant train ride up the Corcovado mountain brings you to the viewpoint and the statue. From here, ride downhill by mountain bike through the Tijuca Forest to reach the Vista Chinesa and refresh in the cooling spray of the nearby waterfall.
From here, head to the Praia Vermelha for lunch with a view, then get ready for a technical hike up to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain. Navigating this trail includes a short technical section, for which no previous climbing experience is necessary. Enjoy views of Guanabara Bay at the top, then take the cable car down to Morro da Urca to end your day by taking in a spectacular sunset.
