What you'll do

This excursion begins with a morning departure from Cairns, which you can reach either via a scheduled paid transfer from Cairns City or Northern Beaches or via self-driving. Board the modern catamaran and meet the crew and marine biologists who will guide you to the Great Barrier Reef and teach you about the details of one of the world's most diverse ecosystems. You'll head out to Moore Reef, where the ship will dock alongside a floating pontoon that includes features like a waterslide that kids and adults will love.

This excursion includes a number of activities, so you can explore the reef in different ways. If you want to get your feet wet, you can snorkel on your own or with a guide to see the colorful coral and sea creatures of Moore Reef. Introductory and certified scuba dives are available, as well as Seawalker helmet dives. If you'd rather stay dry, you can observe the reef from a semi-submersible or the glass-lined observatory on the catamaran. There are plenty of features for kids too, like an enclosed ocean pool onboard and a swirling waterslide that offers a fun way to begin your reef exploration. You can enjoy a buffet lunch onboard and refreshing drinks throughout the day, and at the end of this trip, the catamaran will take you back to Cairns.
