Full Day Snorkel & Dive Trip to the Outer Barrier Reef, Cairns

Embark on an ultimate diving and snorkeling adventure with this all-day excursion on the Great Barrier Reef. The journey begins from either Cairns or Port Douglas and takes you to three diverse reef sites, chosen for their visual impact and ecological diversity. Spend five hours exploring the underwater world, with guided snorkeling tours, introductory dives for beginners, and up to three dives for certified divers. Enjoy the luxury of modern vessels, a buffet lunch, and all necessary equipment provided, ensuring a comfortable and thrilling experience in the world's largest reef system.

Your day will begin with a check-in at the Silverswift counter inside the Reef Fleet Terminal. As you board the vessel at 8:15 am, enjoy a complimentary morning tea or breakfast as you prepare for your diving and snorkeling adventure. At 8:30 am, we will set sail for the Outer Reef, where certified and introductory dive briefings will commence during the journey.

At 9:50 am, we will arrive at our first reef location. Divers will gear up while snorkelers receive a site briefing, then everyone will dive in to experience the unparalleled beauty of the Great Barrier Reef. At 11:15 am, we'll depart for our second reef location, offering another opportunity for divers to take a second dive and snorkelers to explore a new site after a further briefing.

Around 12:30 pm, we will serve a tropical hot and cold buffet lunch in the air-conditioned cabin, allowing everyone to replenish their energy for the afternoon's activities. At 1:40 pm, we will head to our third and final reef location. Here, snorkelers will receive another briefing, and certified divers will have the option to take a third dive. This location also offers a guided snorkel tour for those interested.

In the afternoon, around 2:15 pm, we will serve afternoon tea. After exploring the third reef location, all passengers will be asked to board the vessel by 3:00 pm for a final passenger count. At 3:15 pm, we'll commence our return journey to Cairns. We expect to arrive at the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal by 4:30 pm, and coaches will depart for accommodations at 4:55 pm.

Throughout the day, passengers will have access to top-of-the-line snorkeling and diving equipment, including masks, snorkels, fins, and wetsuits. We also provide hot freshwater showers and spacious sundecks, air-conditioned lounge areas, and a licensed bar. Our vessels are designed for comfort and speed, ensuring a smooth ride to the reef and ample time to explore.
