Catamaran Ocean Safari & Snorkel Trip, Sámara

Starting the day early, you'll be picked up from your hotel and transferred to your boat anchored at Playa Sámara. After meeting your friendly crew and fellow travelers, the adventure begins as you leave the picturesque coastline behind and cruise toward Isla Chora, a few miles offshore and an excellent area for spotting sea mammals. With a little bit of luck, you'll get to see cavorting bottlenose, spotted, and/or spinner dolphins, and if you're visiting from August to November or in early January, you may even see majestic humpback whales up close.

Listen to your guide share details and stories about the local marine life, the surrounding area, and the fragility of the ecosystem. After learning about and exploring the waters from the comfort of the boat, it's time to jump in and get a closer look at the underwater world. You'll cut the engine, don your snorkel gear, and take the plunge to enjoy time swimming among colorful fish, vibrant coral reefs, and other marine life, including shy sea turtles, if they grant you an audience.

With all the excitement of the day, you'll undoubtedly work up an appetite. Fortunately, a light snack and refreshing drinks are provided to keep you energized for the duration of the experience.
