Begin your day with a pick-up by an experienced Aboriginal guide and head straight to the stunning Mossman Gorge and Cultural Centre. Participate in a traditional Aboriginal smoking ceremony, visit the gallery and crafts store, and embark on an interpretive walk through the ancient rainforest. Enjoy a delectable lunch at the Mayi Café at the Mossman Gorge Centre before continuing to Cooya (Kuyu Kuyu) Beach for a Coast & Cultural Walk with a Kubirri Warra clan member, learning traditional fishing and gathering techniques.

Your day begins as you're picked up by your experienced Aboriginal guide. The first destination is the breathtaking Mossman Gorge and its Cultural Centre. Here, you'll have the privilege of experiencing a traditional Aboriginal smoking ceremony, a meaningful ritual that serves as a warm welcome to the land. You'll also have the opportunity to explore the gallery and local crafts store within the Centre, immersing yourself in the vibrant local culture.

Next, venture into the verdant rainforest of Mossman Gorge with your knowledgeable Aboriginal guide. As you traverse this ancient environment, you'll discover the rich history and traditional practices of the local Kuku Yalanji people, gaining insight into their profound connection with the land. After lunch, the journey continues at Cooya (Kuyu Kuyu) Beach for your Coast & Cultural Walk with a member of the Kubirri Warra clan. Cooya Beach is a traditional fishing ground of the Kuku Yalanji people. During this experience, your guide will introduce you to traditional fishing and gathering techniques still used today to provide sustenance for their families.

Please note that the Traditional Aboriginal Fishing experience requires a medium level of fitness. You will be walking across Cooya Beach, trekking through mudflats, and wading through coastal waters up to knee height. This part of the tour offers a unique immersion into the ways of the Kuku Yalanji people, enhancing your understanding of their enduring relationship with the land and sea.
