Get Up Close with Crocodiles and Australian Wildlife, Cairns

Spend a day exploring Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures, where you can freely roam the park and discover a wealth of wildlife including water birds, turtles, wallabies, and cassowaries. Highlights include a 25-minute cruise through the Melaleuca wetlands, home to saltwater crocodiles, and a Snake Show featuring the world’s most venomous snakes. You can also witness the power of a saltwater crocodile at the Crocodile Attack Show. Optional activities include breakfast with the koalas and various wildlife presentations throughout the day.

Your adventure at Hartley's Crocodile Adventures begins with ample free time to explore the park at a leisurely pace. Here, you'll encounter a diverse range of wildlife including water birds, turtles, wallabies, and cassowaries. Wander along 2500 meters of concrete pathways, timber boardwalks, and gravel tracks to discover the Wildlife Discovery Trail, Gondwana Gateway, and the Cassowary Walk.

One of the key highlights of your visit will be the Wetlands cruise, which is included in your admission price. This 25-minute cruise takes you through the ecologically significant Melaleuca wetlands, the home territory for the fearsome saltwater crocodile. The cruise operates at specified times throughout the day, with additional cruises scheduled during busy periods.

Throughout the day, you'll have the opportunity to participate in various engaging wildlife presentations. You can learn about the world's most venomous snakes at the Snake Show and watch a massive saltwater crocodile perform the infamous head shake and death roll at the Crocodile Attack Show. Other presentations include the Crocodile Farm Tour, Cassowary Feeding, and the informative Koala Talk. These presentations are all voluntary and are included in your admission price.

If you're an early riser, an optional "Breakfast with the Koalas" experience is available from 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM. This must be booked by 4:00 PM the day prior and is subject to availability. Enjoy a hot Aussie breakfast overlooking the beautiful lagoon at Hartley's Crocodile Adventures. Your breakfast includes a variety of delicious food items, and a wildlife keeper will join you on the dining deck with a friendly Koala for a unique experience.
