What you'll do

After meeting your guide in front of the tourism office, you'll start your walk through the town, learning all its hidden secrets, corners, and legends. Your first stop is the Wall Revellín, the remains of the 16th-century medieval fortifications with its west gate completely preserved. Just around the corner is the Parliament, a beautiful building that once housed the Convent of Mercy.

Next, follow your guide to the Church of Santiago el Real, where you'll admire its facade. You'll also view the exteriors of the Catedral de Santa María and the 12th-century Church of San Bartolomé. Enjoy strolling through the Plaza Mercado and viewing the exterior of the Museum of La Rioja, set in an 18th-century palace, where your guide will share the city's important relationship with the famous Camino de Santiago pilgrimage.

You'll end your walk through Logroño at La Laurel, a lively area with alleyways and side streets hosting pintxos taverns. It's the perfect sport for dinner after you part ways with your guide, hopping from one bar to the next to try different kinds of pintxos (Basque Country tapas) and Rioja wines.
