18 Grapes Hotel Naxos, Naxos
Elegant island hotel with minimalist design, luxurious rooms, multi-level pools, and a rooftop bar

Loved the location. Walking distance to lots of restaurants and beach.
Overview
Kimkim's Take
- Some rooms offer private hot tubs and plunge pools, or you can relax at the multi-level pool with lounge decks and sea views.
- A small but luxurious on-site spa offers a variety of services.
- Savor "comfort food with a twist" at the on-site restaurant, with dishes made from local products.
- The hotel's location in Agios Prokopios offers a quiet oasis away from busier Naxos Town, perfect for a romantic or relaxing getaway.
- The rooftop bar provides a scenic spot to sip cocktails and watch the sunset.
- The location is somewhat remote, and it takes 15 minutes to reach the beach on foot.
- Although breakfast options are plentiful (and included in the room rate), they're not available until later in the morning, which may be inconvenient for guests going on tours.
- The hotel doesn't have any accessibility features.
Authenticity
The 18 Grapes Hotel blends traditional Cycladic style with modern comforts. Since opening in 2016, the hotel has provided guests with a 5-star experience steeped in local culture, and their commitment to authenticity can be found in every detail, from the hotel's artwork to its culinary offerings. To delve even deeper into local life on Naxos, you can visit the owners' nearby vineyards to learn about the island's viticulture (and get the chance to help pick fresh vegetables and meet the resident goats).
Location
Tucked away in the quaint seaside village of Agios Prokopios, the hotel occupies an idyllic spot for those seeking relaxation. You're a 15-minute walk or a 4-minute drive from the picturesque beach and conveniently located near a vibrant strip of restaurants, tavernas, cafés, and shops. Naxos Town and its ferry port are a short 10-minute bus ride away, and the small Naxos airport is under 5 minutes by car. Free private parking is available on-site at the hotel.
Rooms & Bathrooms
The hotel's 18 rooms and suites feel elegantly minimalist, with a decor that blends neutral tones, natural textures like stone and rattan, and light wood accents. Large windows let in plenty of light and offer either garden and pool or sea views, and the Roman clay bathrooms include wooden cabinets, walk-in showers, and Nuxe toiletries. All rooms include air-conditioning, WiFi, and Nespresso machines, and some feature terraces, private heated plunge pools, or hot tubs. Larger groups or families can book the Grande Sea View option to sleep four, or the Family Connecting Suite, which sleeps up to seven.
Amenities
The hotel has two swimming pools—one on the rooftop with sea and sunset views—and both offer ample lounge space with wooden chaises and cabanas. You'll also find a small spa, complete with a sauna, hammam, and massage area, and a gym with yoga and Pilates classes. Dining options start with a complimentary breakfast spread of local treats served poolside each morning. The on-site Tastes at 18 Grapes restaurant whips up modern Mediterranean cuisine for lunch and dinner, and the Grape Sunset Bar (next to the rooftop pool) is the best spot in the house to grab a cocktail and watch the sunset.Family-Friendliness
Children are welcome at the 18 Grapes Hotel. Cribs are available for children up to two years old, high chairs are available at the restaurant, and babysitting is available for an additional charge. Larger room configurations, such as the Superior options and the Family Connecting Suite and Room, offer plenty of space. Those with strollers should opt for a ground-floor room.Like what you see?
