Nice hotel with an amazing location right by the Musee D’orsay and the seine.
Overview
Built in 1897, Hôtel d'Orsay is a charming establishment with an intriguing history with its neighbor, the Musée d'Orsay. Once owned by Napoleon I's surgeon, this late 18th-century building initially served as a welcoming spot for travelers arriving at the newly constructed Orsay railway station. Today, the station stands as a museum, and the hotel continues its tradition of hospitality, offering an opportunity to sleep next to a work of art. Nestled on the Left Bank, you'll be just a 2-minute stroll from the Musée d'Orsay and five minutes from the Tuileries Garden via the famous "love-lock" bridge.
Every room at Hôtel d'Orsay is a work of art in itself. The hotel's rooms are each uniquely decorated with antique furniture, fascinating artwork, and carefully selected fabrics. From the Cozy Room, perfect for a short stay, to the spacious suite with two balconies overlooking the rooftops of Paris, you'll find various accommodations to meet your needs. The hotel's Deluxe Family Room also offers a calm and spacious setting ideal for families, while the Junior Suite exudes the authenticity of a Parisian apartment.
The hotel's art collection aligns with that of the Musée d'Orsay, featuring works from the mid-19th century to the onset of World War I. Beyond the art, you'll enjoy the light and airy breakfast room, offering a great start to your day with a range of delectable foods. It's also worth noting that the hotel provides entrance tickets to the Musée d'Orsay, a place worth visiting during your time in Paris.
