Overview
Kosten Aike, a charming hotel in El Calafate, has a deep connection to its Argentine roots. The hotel's name, derived from the Tehuelche language, translates to "place of the wind." Not only does it carry a Tehuelche name, but every interior detail—from the bedspreads to the curtains—was crafted by renowned Argentine artists, recreating the ancient designs of the Tehuelche people, recognized for their elevated aesthetic concept and perfect geometry.
The hotel's unbeatable location places you just two blocks away from the town's center and attractions such as Gnome Village, the Argentine Museum of Toys, Anfiteatro Del Bosque, and Santa Teresita del Nino Jesus Church.
The rooms at Kosten Aike are spacious and comfortable, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploration. The bedding ensures a good night's sleep, while the charming decor creates an inviting ambience. Each room has a minibar and private bathroom equipped with shower/tub combinations and complimentary toiletries. The hotel offers suites with additional amenities and conveniences for those searching for roomier living space.
Kosten Aike offers amenities, including a gym, sauna, and massage services. The hotel also features a playroom with various games and a circulating library in different languages. For meals, head to the Restaurant Ariskaiken, which serves a varied menu, or the Kampen Steakhouse, renowned for its exclusive Argentine barbecue and traditional Patagonian Lamb stake. You can also savor different flavors of coffee at Aura Bar or opt for a creative cocktail.
