From the moment I decided to plan a trip to Argentina, Agustina was by my side (via texts and email) Yes, we could even have spoken on the phone, but each step of the way, she was there to offer ideas, guide and facilitate everything we wanted in our adventure. This was a different way for us to plan and travel as we generally self-drive, cater, and explore independently. However, will all lodgings, transfers, shuttle, excursions planned for us, it was easier to relax and enjoy. Meeting fellow travelers and seeing large groups with touring guides and sometimes hassled fatigued travelers, we were ecstatic that we weren't one of them. At each location, we were met with local companies for our shuttles and transfers and confirmation of tours. Very responsive companies under the umbrella of Agustina and Mater. We had a road book that was updated and confirmed each day.

Our trip included Buenos Aires, Ushuaia (end of the world), El Calafate (Patagonia), and Puerto Iguazu.

In a peaceful and safe place in Buenos Aires. Accustomed to English speaking travelers to some extent. No restaurant, but morning delivery of breakfast to your room. While we didn't use, there was a pool, spa, sauna, availability of massage, robes and kitchen set.

Although a taxi ride away from town center, this was a spectacular location for view. The main lobby was like being in an elaborate lodge or private home. The restaurant upstairs was small and intimate. The breakfast service was also upstairs and was abundant. We stored our luggage on our last day and relaxed in the environment before our airport shuttle arrived. There was an outdoor spa that we didn't use, but again, a glass enclosure with a spectacular view.

Slightly confusing for us travelers as we picked up at hotels and then many stops to facilitate border crossing. Our apprehension was due to our inexperience. Bruno tried his best, but there could have been an easier way to keep us together at various meeting points. A lot of time was wasted at each check point as our group reconnected. Simply giving us a time and location meet would have sufficed.

Walking with the penguins on Isla Martillo in the Beagle Channel (while staying in Ushuaia) and the glacier mini trekking on Perito Moreno (staying in El Calafate) were awesome, once-in-a-lifetime experiences! Caro was fantastic helping us plan and reserve all of our excursions and lodging. Our guides (especially Jhon and Robinson) were wonderful and drivers Fernando and Christian were great, too! Mateo was particularly helpful and responsive with our questions… Our only regret was not upgrading our lodging. We had a wonderful experience at the Tolkeyen Hotel (modest, but gorgeous water view from our very quiet room) in Ushuaia and the Sierra Nevada in El Calafate was modest, but comfortable with good food and convenient location. But, we didn’t care for our very tiny room (and tiny bathroom) on a loud street in Puerto Natales at Casa de la Patagonia. The Hotel Fundador in the central Santiago (London-Paris neighborhood) was friendly and dinner was very inexpensive, but the room wasn’t great, bedding was uncomfortable, lots of noise at night. and the area was dirty and old (not in a quaint way). We were warned often about our safety there, too….Overall, I would use KimKim again for international travel! They made everything go smoothly and took the stress out of navigating new places. Priceless!!

Puerto Iguazú

Iguazú Falls were breathtaking, and we loved visiting both the Argentine and Brazilian sides. Each side offered unique views and experiences. Despite the slightly uphill hike on the Brazilian side, it was still easy and enjoyable. The guide made the customs process smooth despite the long lines.

Full-day Nibepo Aike Ranch
El Calafate

The full-day visit to Nibepo Aike Ranch was incredible. The scenic drive through the National Park, with views of glaciers, was just beautiful. At the ranch, we witnessed sheep shearing and enjoyed a nature walk learning about local flora. The highlight was a delicious grilled lamb lunch, which was a true taste of the region's cuisine.
