Hotel Lunajuim, El Chaltén

Comfortable rooms but not terribly quiet. Great location. Super helpful staff. Good restaurant.

Our favorite hotel of our trip. Incredibly nice staff, exceptional food and a relaxing atmosphere. Would definitely stay here if we return to El Chaltén!

Lovely location

Great staff and good location, spacious bar and sitting room

This is a clean hotel in the middle of town. If you want a hotel with more amenities or a view, you need to stay elsewhere. That said, the staff was amazing. When we arrived, our assigned room was very dark and small and the manager found us another room with much more light. Thank you!

Also, the staff provided great hiking and transportation information and were very accommodating.

The hotel lounge was nice but the rooms were very dated and not super cozie (felt more akin to a hostel). They also requested we leave our key at the front desk whenever we left, which we weren't super comfortable with. Staff were all very friendly though.

This was more of a hostel experience as I believe KimKim's normal partners were booked up. The rooms were fine. The breakfast was okay. The staff was very friendly. Location was great. For a hostel experience, I think this was good, though we usually prefer staying in nicer places. I think "luxury" is not something that is in abundance when you are in remote Patagonia though, so this was fine for us.

Great location and price. The beds in particular were very comfortable.

Great place to stay. Kind of rustic rooms as are most places in Chalten. They offer great support services for hiking (helpful trail reviews and guidance/suggestions of best trails for the day given erratic weather conditions) and they offer a packed lunch service which is great if you’re on the go and don’t have time to grocery shop.
Wifi is insufficient during wind storms (super frequent) and also when the hotel is full (afternoons and evenings after hiking). Wifi is ok early AM and late night when people are offline and on nights when it is not extremely windy.
Very nice lobby with bar.
