Hotel Neri Relais & Chateaux, Barcelona
Luxurious rooms and apartments set in the heart of the Gothic Quarter, just steps from the Barcelona Cathedral.

Overview
Kimkim's Take
- The location is perfect for those wanting to stay in the Gothic Quarter and explore the city's medieval streets and Jewish heritage.
- You'll have your choice between rooms and one-bedroom apartments, all decorated with art from renowned Spanish creatives.
- You'll find the apartments in a separate area of the hotel with its own rooftop pool and sundeck.
- There's another rooftop pool and sundeck for all guests to enjoy, plus four eateries, including a terraced restaurant and poolside bar.
- Though the rooms are comfortable, the hotel's common areas don't quite live up to that 5-star feel.
Authenticity
You might have guessed from its name, but Hotel Neri Relais & Chateaux encompasses two buildings, one a 12th-century medieval palace. By renovating the space and reclaiming its courtyard, the hotel received an award for adding value to the city's heritage. You'll also find plenty of local art by some of Spain's most beloved creators throughout the hotel.Location
With its location in the very heart of the Gothic Quarter—and just a few steps from the Barcelona Cathedral—this is the ideal spot to experience the city's medieval heritage. Around the corner is Plaça de Sant Jaume, which you can also reach via Calle del Bisbe and admire its famed Gothic bridge. You'll also be within walking distance of Barceloneta, La Rambla, and Plaça de Catalunya.Rooms & Bathrooms
You'll have your choice of five room types, ranging from classic units to elegant suites, plus "Casa Neri," where you'll find one-bedroom apartments. All have wooden floors, high ceilings, and views overlooking the historic Gothic Quarter streets. Deluxe rooms offer floor-to-ceiling windows (one with a private terrace and outdoor tub), while suites add seating areas and wood-beamed ceilings. Apartments have full kitchens, living rooms, and designer furniture.Amenities
If you want to cool off in the Catalan sun, head up to the rooftop for a plunge in the pool. You can then relax on the loungers and enjoy the views over the Gothic Quarter. Although the hotel has no spa, you can unwind with an in-room massage. The hotel has an elevator and one room designed specifically for those with accessibility needs.Family-Friendliness
The hotel is family-friendly, welcoming children of any age. Some apartments can accommodate families, but you can also book separate but connecting rooms. Although there are no amenities for children, babysitting services can be arranged, and the restaurant offers a kid’s menu and high chairs.Other Highlights
Hotel Neri Relais & Chateaux is also a good option for foodies since you have various culinary styles to enjoy. Get a little adventurous with the unique cuisine and combinations at A Restaurant, or stay classic at the terraced eatery. You'll also find two bars with light fare, one in the lobby and the other on the rooftop.Like what you see?
