Hotell Bondeheimen, Oslo

I'm a kimkim staff member and I was on a work trip when I stayed at the Hotell Bondeheimen. The hotel checked me in extremely early, the concierge GiGi was very kind - all staff was friendly and responsive. I slide my room key into a port by the front door to turn all the lights on in the room between the shower and bedroom - something that I was not accustomed to but encountered in every hotel throughout Norway. The full bed was very comfortable; great sheets, fluffy pillows, lovely little view of the street from my 5th floor room (out of 6 floors).

This hotel is lovely and modern, located just a short walk from the train station. The front desk staff upgraded our room, which was a lovely and much appreciated surprise. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a mini fridge, sitting area, and plenty of space for our bags. The breakfast was a step above a typical hotel breakfast. We were pleased with our stay and would recommend this hotel to other travelers.

The location of this hotel is amazing! Close enough to city center to do it all but just out of the way enough to not be too noisy. The staff was lovely and the rooms were fine

Great location and friendly staff. Rooms are modest in size. Lower floors can hear the nightlife.

One room is very nice and the other was quite dumpy. Very small elevators, but somewhat typical for Norway.

I was angry when we arrived and got to our room (but calmed down...) I thought it looked a lot better online but our room, according to my son, looked like his dorm room. It was pretty sterile, faced an interior courtyard, and was cut into two pieces so our bedroom had no window. It was decent sized, though, and in a good location.

The breakfast was good but you had to get there early or you would have trouble finding a table.

Wonderful hotel and excellent staff. The breakfast was amazing! It is very central to everything and close to the main train station.

Small rooms but comfortable. Good location

We had a deluxe room so it was roomy with windows on two sides. The most amazing feature though was the breakfast — so many choices! On the negative side, the shower had no hand bars for safety, did not limit water to shower area, and the shampoo pump was difficult. There are no hand towels and the bath towels barely wrap around one’s body. The air in the room was still and warm and barely improved with oscillating desk fan.

The rooms were great and the staff was excellent.
