Karahé Beach Hotel, Manuel Antonio

Nice hotel in a good location. The only issue we had is that we were given a beachfront room but it's not at all beachfront. It's a walk to beach and no view of the beach, which was a bit disappointing. Breakfast was also a bit disappointing with exactly the same thing served daily. The room was very spacious and comfortable enough and was cleaned daily. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Hotel room smelled very musty the entire time, was missing basics like a coffee machine/tea and phone, and no outlets by the bed. The breakfast was good quality though minimal compared to some other stays. The overall best feature was location beach side, and the private beach seating with shade cover - this part was 5/5 in addition to very nice and accommodating staff.

The hotel is situated with a beautiful beach that you can access by walking down the path. I spent many hours just walking on the sand listening to the waves.

The lady at reception was also extremely helpful, making many calls for me when I made a mistake and missed my transport.

By far the best view in a stay on vacation! We stayed in bungalow #8 and while the stairs are a killer, that view was worth it every time. Loved this spot in relation to the overall town layout, the proximity to other bars, restaurants and the Manuel Antonio National Park

This is a very basic hotel. Good for the location (beachfront) but that's about it. Clean but As basic as it gets. No frills. Even the safe inside the room was broken. We wanted to ask someone to come fix it and guess what - no phone in the room to contact front desk - have to walk all the way to the other side of the road to get someone.

The private beach was amazing and the staff were wonderful and helpful. I will stay here again on my next trip to Costa Rica!

I had an amazing stay at a beautiful hotel surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant flowers. The location was fantastic, with easy access to the beach, which made it perfect for both relaxation and adventure.

I even tried surfing right in front of the hotel, and the waves were powerful—perfect for a thrilling surf session! On top of that, one of the most memorable parts of my stay was the incredible wildlife. I was thrilled to spot wild sloths sleeping in the trees right on the hotel grounds, along with many wild monkeys, colorful birds, and iguanas. Exploring the property and observing all the animals was a delightful experience. To top it off, I was pleasantly surprised to see fireflies lighting up the garden at night—a magical touch that made my stay even more special.

Overall, this hotel is a nature lover’s paradise and a great spot for surf enthusiasts, offering a unique blend of comfort and the wonders of wildlife. Highly recommended for anyone who loves being close to nature and the ocean!

Rooms are dated and need an upgrade. Property needs a facelift. However, the grounds are beautiful. The pool was fun as was the bar/restaurant. Needs mor food selection at breakfast. Stunning beach.

Make sure to get a Beach Front room ( and not one next to the road).

Our pickup time for San Jose got delayed. For one hour.
The staff of the hotel helped to find out where the driver was.
They arranged for a driver who took us a few miles and connected us to a van who drove us to San Jose.
The driver of the van was an excellent driver!
