Authenticity
The resort opened in 2018 and features a contemporary yet colorful design inspired by Costa Rica's natural surroundings, using bamboo and other natural materials in the exterior design. Outside, bamboo pavilions, modern walkways, and bespoke light fixtures line the resort. The colorful interior decor draws from its tropical setting with a funky twist, creating a lively atmosphere. The resort's culinary offerings offer local specials, but its restaurants also serve classic global cuisine and innovative international dishes.Location
W Reserva Conchal is perched on Playa Conchal, close to the small town of Santa Cruz, with views of the lush jungle and ocean. The resort is a 10-minute drive (2.5 miles) from a small shopping area in Santa Cruz and about 18 minutes by car (5 miles) from the nearest grocery store. Alternative dining options are just a 5 to 6-minute drive away. Although the resort is secluded and offers a tranquil experience, a car is necessary to explore the surrounding areas and towns.Rooms & Bathrooms
The rooms at W Reserva Conchal blend the tropics with contemporary design. Each room features bright and colorful decor paired with whimsically designed backboards, wooden ceilings, and wall panels. Large windows and sliding glass doors provide ample natural light, lending the rooms a bright and airy atmosphere. Bathrooms are spacious, with plush robes, slippers, and bath amenities. Room categories range from the Wonderful Escape rooms with garden views to the expansive Ewow Suite, which includes a private plunge pool and ocean views.Amenities
W Reserva Conchal has two infinity-style swimming pools—one for adults and one for all ages. The adults-only WET Deck has hot tubs, a sunken bar, and cabanas, while the children's pool offers a large shaded area and lounge spaces by the ocean. The AWAY Spa offers a luxurious retreat with private patios and bamboo privacy walls. Four restaurants serve various cuisines, and the FIT gym provides 24/7 access to fitness classes with jungle views. There's also an 18-hole Reserva Conchal Golf Course on-site.Family-Friendliness
Families with children of all ages are welcome at W Reserva Conchal. The resort is stroller-friendly, with paved pathways and elevators. An indoor play area offers children's games, daily activities, and a designated children's pool. Although specific kid menus are unavailable, the Cocina de Mercado restaurant easily accommodates children with favorite dishes like pizza. The hotel also provides babysitting services, baby cribs, and beach and pool toys.Wildlife
Travelers frequently encounter howler monkeys, coatis, iguanas, and beautiful tropical birds throughout the property. A dense jungle surrounds the resort, a protected wildlife area located on a remote strip of coastline, making it the ideal spot for wildlife enthusiasts.Like what you see?
