My grandparents are Chinese and I was born in the Philippines.
I LOVE my country. Its emerald rice fields, teeming megacities, graffiti-splashed jeepneys, smoldering volcanoes, bug-eyed tarsiers, fuzzy water buffalo and smiling, happy-go-lucky people.
Come to visit my country. You can explore diverse landscapes, from pristine beaches and coral reefs to lush mountains and volcanoes, as well as vibrant cities and rural villages. Get ready to experience the colorful festivals, cuisine, music, and art of our Filipino people. It is a place where fun, friendship, and hospitality are always in abundance.
I‘ve traveled through southeast Asia and visited over 10 countries currently.Traveling is not a hobby or passion anymore, now it has become an important part of my life. I am trying to share the best experiences to everyone and do my best to offer tour assistance to travelers.

How did you get involved in travel?

"My aunt is a tour guide. Every time I visit her, she will tell me her stories in different traveling destinations. I feel it was very interesting. And I think traveling can be one of my career options since I was a kid. When I studied in college, I liked to help my classmates to make trip plan and organize tours. Fortunately, they liked it and I started getting appreciation from people in my circle. When I finished schooling, I embarked on a two-year apprenticeship to learn the ins and outs of inbound travel, more and more people asked me for my tips.It is always enjoyable to combine my expertise with my passion for travel."

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"I traveled with my friends to China in 2010. We did the Lijiang River cruise in Guilin. It was heavily rainy when we started the tour in the early morning. We got wet and almost can not see anything clearly through the window. However, two hours later, the rain stopped. We saw the mysterious Karst hills layer by layer, just like the traditional Chinese ink painting, with the looming mountains surrounded by mists against the Lijiang River. It was amazing! Then I told myself never be discouraged to give up, and to believe that beautiful things will happen after distancing myself from negativity."

This has been the 4th and probably the last of our trips, organized by KimKim.

This has been the 4th and probably the last of our trips, organized by KimKim.
Our experience this time left us disappointed and on some occasions angry.

First of all our experience with Ailleen was characterised as very slow. In the beginning we delayed in giving her the answers. We acknowledge that we made a lot of changes regarding our chosen activities but every time we sent the answer, we had to wait more than 2 days.
In addition to that, we dod not have all the details needed (time of pickup, duration of the excursions, time of return etc) and even though we asked for this at least twice, we only received limited information. Even though we asked to have a group in WhatsApp (we had this in previous trips and was successful), the delay in giving answers was the same.
If we didn't ask, there would be no information given to us.
One other detail that made us feel embraced was the prices we paid for the tours. Upon checking locally for the cost of the excursions, even the private ones were some times half the price of the one we paid to Kim Kim and some times even lower. If we add the fact that the boats that took us were among the worst ones, this makes it even worse.
No need to mention the fact that in no boat did we eat our lunch, simply because there was not the slightest rule of hygiene respected. We saw what was offered to other boats, where there was no private transfer and the conditions were mach better.
Last but not least, in two excursion, one in El Nido and one in Boracay, the return transfer was not there when we arrived at the port. The second time we even called the number given to us as a contact but no one replied. So we paid for our transfer back to the hotel. I received the call much later.
That was the time when I decided to complain and after some discussions they reimbursed 250USD to us.
I said thank you as this was a right gesture but in no case did this compensate us for the whole fuss.

We could have simply booked everything ourselves and have the same or better experience.
I see no reason why we should use KimKim any more, after this experience.

Dear Stamatis,

Greetings from Heidi, the customer care manager.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I am very sorry for the disappointing experience you had during your recent trip to the Philippines with us and please accept our sincere apologies for not being able to provide you the KimKim standard service as the previous 3 trips.

Your feedback is invaluable to us and will be taken very seriously by our team. Please allow us some time to review the whole process with Aileen and our local service providers, and I will get back to you ASAP with our opinions regarding compensation on this matter.

As our newly recruited specialist last year, Aileen would need more time to become as experienced as our other specialists. We will arrange more training for her in the coming month to make sure that she can provide the future travelers with KimKim standard service like the other specialists do.

On behalf of Aileen and our team, I would like to apologize once again for not meeting your expectation this time.

I will get back to you soon and all the best to you and your friends.

Best wishes.
Heidi
