David Bruno
Born in Belgium to a Belgian mother and a French father, I caught the travel virus very early. In search of exploration and wide open spaces, I organized several expeditions in the Andes. Back in France, I studied geography before joining the world of tourism.
For 20 years, I developed tours in South America for major adventure tour operators. Due to the impact of my activity on the planet, I decided to work in a local tourism more virtuous for conservation. I then joined "French By Locals" & "So Provence team, So Alps!", to share with my clients this magnificent region where I have the chance to live.
How did you get involved in travel?
"I discovered tourism at the same time as I discovered France. Until the age of 14, I lived in Brussels (Belgium). A big city in the center of Europe. Every summer, we went by car with my parents, towards the south of France where my father was from. The journey was long: there were not yet many highways, and we had to cross all of France on the small roads. Once there, we went on multi-day hikes in the mountains or visited the farms, artisans and sites of interest in the area. It was another world: a world out of time."
