How did you get involved in travel?
"I come from Dota, a picturesque town known for producing some of the world's finest coffee. My fascination with nature and the allure of discovering hidden gems within the mountains began in my childhood. This early passion steered me towards a career in tourism, which I pursued not only during high school but also at the university. For the past decade, I've been immersed in various tourism-related activities, and my unwavering source of motivation has always been the embodiment of the "pura vida" spirit"

"One vivid memory etched in my mind is my initial visit to the awe-inspiring Irazú and Turrialba volcanoes right here in Costa Rica. The enormity of these natural wonders left me feeling insignificantly small, yet simultaneously filled with an overwhelming sense of excitement. Witnessing the sheer beauty of the volcanoes, alongside the flourishing wildlife and the untouched nature surrounding them, was a transformative experience.

When we were planning the trip, it was a lot of back and forth but okay overall. But when floods came and we had to make changes, Jean Carlo was slow to react and had no real expertise to offer. I actually said, Jean Carlo, you live here I need your recommendations on this. He would say "we've been in contact with the transport company throughout the day" but then have no updates. Finally, we started communicating with the driver directly.

Beautiful hotel located at the base of a dormant volcano. Our room had a direct view to the volcano from the back porch. Moreover, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the place has a heated pool with a jacuzzi for those that enjoy night swim. The food was good, but I recommend everyone to visit "La Fortuna" town, as they offer a vast variety of places to eat at a better price. Finally, the only thing we regret was not staying here longer!

Great location! This hotel is only minutes away from the "downtown" portion of town. Dylan and Ana were extremely helpful, professional and courteous! There was a day we had additional idle time, and they recommended us a "forest night walk", and even helped us set it up. The rooms were very comfortable, and clean and the only time we needed assistance, they responded in very short time.

Hotel is located about 10 minutes away from the beach. Rooms were comfortable and clean, and the hotel has a nice pool at a very convenient spot. The hospitality staff was very helpful, and extremely hard working as they seemed to do a bit of everything.

What made this tour different was out guide, otherwise it would've been just a normal hike. Sergio provided us with a historical background of the park and the composition of the forest as we walked through. He had vast knowledge of the area's flora and fauna, and even provided us interesting details of Costa Rica's drive to protect their natural resources. He definitely connected with us!

If you want to have fun while exercising, i definitely recommend you this tour. The guides take you to a tour to a nearby island full of crabs, and where you can occasionally see wild iguanas. The snorkeling experience was OK, since the water current lifted some sediments from the bottom, and we were not able to see many fishes. It still was a worthwhile fin experience.

One, on the horseback riding trail, Jackie's horse, Roro, stopped for a drink of water and ended up laying down and rolling Jackie off into the creek. Thankfully, she did not get hurt, just soaked. The tour guide said she should have pulled back tight on the reins but he didn't tell Jackie to do that before it happened. Jackie has only ridden a horse three times in her life. It...

It is concerning because there were two teenaged children on that ride, too. No one was told to pull back on the reins to keep the horse from taking a bath.
The other to mention was the trip to Poas volcano. We were not told to bring rain gear and it was raining the day we went. We were fine but walked up to the overlook but could not see anything because it was very cloudy, rainy and windy. We would have been fine if the trip to the volcano had been cancelled since it was raining. Other than that, the trip was fantastic! Thank you!

My wife and I had an amazing time in Costa Rica. Our local specialist, Jean Carlo, was so attentive and had great suggestions. He made planning this trip so much easier than any other vacation we have ever been on. Can't recommend Kim Kim and Jean Carlo enough! The Arenal Amor Hotel was the nicest resort we have ever stayed at and we wish we never had to leave. Our other resorts, Monteverde Lodge & Gardens and Arenas Del Mar Beachfront Resort were also beautiful with amazing service. While traveling just the two of us, we appreciated the group shuttles from one destination to the next as it alleviated the stress of renting a car and navigating. Our favorite activity was the Combo tour in La Fortuna of Hanging Bridges, Volcano Walk and La Fortuna Waterfall as everything was so cool and our guide was very knowledgeable.

Just back form our amazing trip to Costa Rica. We spent 8 wonderful days there and many thanks to Kim Kim travel (and our expert Juan Carlo, for organizing this trip. The service provide by Kim Kim was excellent - they spent alot of time finding out what we wanted to do on our trip and then organized our itinerary to match. The service provide by Kim Kim was excellent - they spent alot of time finding out what we wanted to do on our trip and then organized our itinerary to match. Everthing ran like clockwork - all transport was on time and so clean and comfortable. All tours and guides were amazing (expecially Kristal in Arenal). We enjoyed every minute of every day and hope to return to Costa rice someday soon. It is an amazing country with so much diversity in landscape - beautiful rain foreats , wildlife, coastline,beaches, activities - and amazing people. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful and so proud of their beautiful country.
