Sara Genovese
After graduating in Natural Science here in Italy, I took a master in Sustainable and ResponsibleTravels in Rome to combine my studies in the natural field with tourism. I worked in a tour operator in Turin for a while and then started my own company that also dealt with nature tours organization. Then I decided to move into a new company to focus on enhancing the country I love, my own, the beautiful Italy. Here where I met the amazing I GO Travel Network team that is passionate about sharing the knowledge of our Peninsula with all the people who wish to experience a tour of Italy. I now help in the organization of the tour under the I GO Travel Network company. I prefer to organize smooth and relaxing tours (this is a holiday for you and should be comfortable) including must-seen touristic attractions as well as some specials and off the beaten tracks experiences.
What places and activities do you specialize in?
"I deal with all sorts of cultural, artistic and traditional tours as well as wine and food tours in all the Italian regions except the Calabria region."
How did you get involved in travel?
"Well, since I was a child my wide curiosity led me to discover as much as possible of the world around me; as soon as I could I left my little town to experience living abroad and in big cities. I traveled a lot in my life and I will keep doing it, be it in foreign countries or on my own. Even though growing up I decided to come back to nature, little towns, and the countryside life, my curiosity is well fulfilled by my traveling. Loving so much discovering things and places I then wanted to find a way to share this with people.. working in tourism was a natural thing to do for me."
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"I have many beautiful travel memories I will never forget but if I have to pick one I still feel that strong emotion I felt when I climbed the final meters of the dirt path that leads to the marvelous Machu Picchu site; I suddenly had a panoramic view of that magical place and it has been breathtaking.
