The guides are Kathmandu locals—experienced in navigating the traffic. They’re excellent drivers and know how to negotiate the lanes of old Kathmandu and Patan, finding the best secret samosa spots or places to cool down with a chilled lassi. Plus there are heaps of history in these streets, and the guides will fill you in on local folklore.

How It Works
As for the ride itself, your guides will come and pick you up at your hotel, and all you have to do is get your camera charged and sit tight. Each Vespa has one expert driver to one pillion. Helmets and buffs are provided. Rides can be catered to individuals, couples or small groups, which means the time is flexible according to the passengers’ schedules.
Choosing Your Route
There are a number of tours & routes to choose from, and all of these can be customized based on your interests and which parts of the Kathmandu Valley you'd like to explore. Here are some of the more popular routes:
Food Safari
You’ll be guided around quiet streets and alleys in search of Nepal’s most delicious cuisine. You’ll visit markets, street stalls, and small restaurants, who are run independently by colorful characters. You’ll also be introduced to Newari cuisine, a specialty of the valley.
Momo Mania
This tour is all about the momo—a dumpling stuffed with all kinds of fillings, formed into multitudes of shapes, sizes, and textures. This is Nepal’s favorite snack, and it will inevitably become one of yours. The final stop on this tour is where you'll learn how to make these snacks yourself.
Villages of the Valley
Cruise out of the city and get into the fresh air and relaxed pace of village life. Nepal’s character is shaped by the mixture of cultures and religions. This tour will take you to experience just that. Enjoy lunch made of local ingredients you’ll see growing in the fields as you cruise by the rice paddies on the back of your Vintage Vespa.
Bhakatapur & Back
Get out to the famous UNESCO world heritage site, the ancient city of Bhaktapur for the day. It's a contained maze of traditional Newari buildings, a hub for arts- pottery making and tanka painting. Also known for curd (yogurt) and Newari delights, so we'll sample some of those too. A great day trip outside of Kathmandu, and of course in style, on your Vespa!
Street Art
Check out the local art scene, often hidden in the mazes of small streets in Kathmandu. From graffiti to organized community arts events, there's a ton of very cool street art here. Learn how the movement started, about some of the talented artists, and of course, stop for tea and snacks, Nepali style.
Jazz After Dark Street Art
After watching a sunset from Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), you'll head to Durbar Square for tea at dusk. Then, you'll travel farther into the night with a trip to Jazz Upstairs. Here you’ll listen to local jazz musicians play live at one of Kathmandu’s most iconic bars. Espresso martinis or local draft Sherpa beers are your choices!
