We recently visited Croatia on short notice and only had about 2 weeks to plan the entire trip. We wanted to see alot of the country and we have done self driving tours in the past, so thought that would be a good way to experience alot. After searching google for " self drive tours in Croatia", I landed on the kimkim site, which put me in touch with one of their parners in Croatia, Robi @ soulofcroatia.com. I can't say enough nice thing about this young man. He was extreamly helpful in asking lots of questions to custom tailor our vacation to our wants and needs. He stayed in touch throughout our trip to make sure we were happy with everything and to find out what we liked most about his country. You could tell that he was genuinely excited for us to discover all of the great places he had selected with us to visit and gave us a small history lesson of each place. Everything was planned perfectly with plenty of downtime when needed. On one of our last days, I wanted to rent a boat to explore some of the surrounding islands of Dubrovnik, but found out the local laws prohibited me from doing so without my boating licence, which I did not have. Robi was kind enough to spend the day away from his family to go with us, as he had his licence, and I was so glad that he did ! He took us to locations I would have never known to go to on my own. We had one of our best days with him, and it was really nice getting to know him and finally put a face with the voice on the phone. One of the best parts of our trip is that we made a friend. We were looking for a custom trip combining an active multi-sport vacation with sightseeing and a family reunion (of my scattered family in the US with relatives in the home country). Anna-Maria was one of the few agents willing to take on a challenge like this, and she put together the experience of a lifetime! Her thorough knowledge of the various regions in Croatia combined with her connections in the country produced a unique and first-class experience, even despite the numerous challenges of COVID-19.

Sarah was extremely helpful & thoughtful in planning our week in Croatia! We enjoyed the visit as well as excursions planned by Sarah. Our accommodations were clean, modern, & in central locations. Sarah is quick to respond to any messages. Croatia is a beautiful country & the people we met were kind. Definitely recommend visiting Croatia & trusting Sarah to plan your trip.

This trip was amazing beyond words in large part because of the itinerary put together by Sarah. We saw and did so many things that we definitely would have missed without her plan. The sites, the food, the guides, the transfers- all were a perfect blend of scheduled activity and free time. Sarah was also very available & responsive to our needs & questions. Wow! Our trip with KimKim was totally awesome! Great communication before, during and after our trip - daily check-in's, superb guides and drivers...I cannot say enough about how awesome KimKim! Antonia is a dedicated, knowledgeable, perfectionist. Of course, because of Covid, we had over a year to plan and really get to know one another, but I would venture to guess she can accurately assess a client's needs in any amount of time. I wanted to experience Croatia from every possible vantage point in a modest time frame, with a relatively meager budget (bucket list anniversary trip). She asked a series of questions and based on my responses, proposed various itineraries.

Over time, we settled on a 9-day adventure, starting in Split, visiting Trogir, Skradin, Hvar, and departing from Dubrovnik. Antonia was unexpectedly able to greet us upon our arrival in Split and was simply a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm. The darling goodie bag she presented us was filled with useful, appreciated, thoughtful items. We shared a brief coffee/meal and set out to enjoy an exquisite city. Our hotel was perfectly located inside the walls of Diocletian's Palace and central to everything.

Each day, sometimes multiple times a day, she would check in via WhatsApp, but she was also communicating with drivers (multiple personalized tour guides, private transfers) and hotel operators to ensure we were properly cared for and had our tickets for various excursions.

Clearly, the team with which she works are deeply committed to client experience. Every guide, driver and hotel seemed customized to our eclectic tastes. We wanted eco-tourism, hikes, deeply local (non-touristy) experiences, heritage hotels, but also a couple days of luxury. We requested history, archeology, wine tours, beaches, nightlife, and hiking. That's not an easy order...on a budget...but she over-delivered. Over and over again.

I have recommended her to everyone I know planning a trip to Croatia and will use her again as soon as we can. Spectacular!

My family's trip to Croatia was truly a trip of a lifetime, and we owe everything to our amazing agent, Antonia Ljustina. Antonia made everything easy. I worked with her for several months to design the ideal trip -- she was incredibly patient with my questions and concerns about COVID-19 travel requirements prior to booking. Then she met us in person on our first day in Croatia, provided all of the necessary documents and information, and even brought us some welcome gifts. Antonia was available 24/7 during our trip and checked in with us at least daily. She is impeccable, professional, detail-oriented, and truly cares about her client's experience. Robi was incredible from start to finish. I decided to go by myself to Croatia last second and on a budget. I normally do not do guides or tours but since I was trying to have an "aggressive" schedule, I decided to reach out. Robi was very responsive and presented different options to try to fit all of my crazy requests to see everything in such a short amount of time. I was extremely happy to have him as a guide as it made it seem like I was traveling with an old friend and he was flexible with scheduling. The days were long but Robi's positive attitude and jokes made it not seem like we were out all day. He provided local recommendations and suggestions that helped round out the trip. The trip was better than I could have imagined and that really was thanks to Robi. Hope to see him again!

Antonia planned the perfect trip! The guides she works with all over Croatia and Slovenia are excellent, and the private guided tour of Plitvice Lakes was a highlight. She also planned an amazing excursion to Bled in Slovenia, where I took a hot air balloon ride over the lake - a truly unique experience that I'll never forget. After this trip through kimkim, my husband and I are convinced - the only way we can travel is through kimkim, a fully-personalized and customized vacation that meets our travel objectives with private transfers from city to city, 4 and 5-star hotels, and all within our prescribed budget.

I found out about 6 weeks before a fully-paid-for pilgrimage to Croatia that it had to be cancelled because of insufficient interest. I had bought the airtickets myself and so had to make the trip. Desperate, I googled online late into the night and found travel platforms and companies which might be able to help me put together a trip to Croatia. Kimkim surfaced towards the end and I was exhausted and thought, “No need for more” but something told me to write to them too, and so I did.
Guess what, kimkim was the first to respond and Antonia Ljustina of Croatique sent me a proposal that covered all the places I wanted to visit with a clear and well-presented full itinerary within my prescribed budget. She asked if she could call me and within 5 minutes of chatting with her I made up my mind to go with her. I did receive several other proposals in the next few days but none could beat Antonia’s in terms of depth or appeal.

Antonia is the consummate travel professional, a joy to work with from day one. She has great ideas but listens carefully and the end result, she crafts a customized dream vacation for you – Croatia is a beautiful country and we wanted to enjoy the scenery, partake in the cultural and religious heritage and try the great local food.

Antonia did an amazing job for us – it was so easy communicating with her prior to the trip through the kimkim platform. Being local, she put together a most enjoyable itinerary with “must-do” experiences, beautiful hotels, and some of the best local guides. Private transfers, the way to go. No fear of being delayed by anyone and we simply zipped across borders….very different experience for the tour buses each with 40 or more passengers trying to clear customs.

Antonia welcomed us with a full package on arrival, we had a good chat on the phone discussing the itinerary and any questions I had. We also had a great app for the itinerary. She reminded us every night of the program for the next day with helpful reminders re passports, weather, etc. We could call her anytime for help – she was available 24/7 and we were in constant communication through Whatsapp. Upon checking in at each hotel, she made sure we were happy with our room and on 2 occasions, got us upgraded to bigger rooms with better views.

My husband and I had a very special and wonderful vacation, and we have been telling family and friends nonstop since returning about kimkim – a secure online Californian platform that works with terrific travel specialists overseas. You must check them out for your next trip!

Very helpful, especially when our trip to Slovenia was cancelled at the last minute. She was able to book us early 2 days in Zagreb. Very much appreciated.

Robert did a wonderful job listening to our requests and matching us up with accommodations and a guide that fit perfectly. He went over and above in helping us out when we had a little snafu with transportation.

Our group of eight had a wonderful trip to Croatia. Veselka and her team were terrific to work with. We had a great itinerary and every detail met our expectations. Veselka worked with us right up to our day of departure for Croatia to assure all of our needs were taken care of. Our guides were pleasant to be with and helped to educate us on Croatia today and yesterday; ‘V’ in Zagreb, Anna Marie and Vedran in Hvar, and Anada in Dubrovnik were all terrific. This was my first solo travel experience and Marina ensured it was a memorable one. From the beginning she helped plan a wonderful itinerary tailored specifically to my interests. She provided all the information and details I needed before hand to ensure I was prepared for my trip. When my cousin decided to join me in Dubrovnik, Marina was kind to ensure it’s feasibility. Marina also went the extra mile in providing me with her personal number, checking in with me to ensure I was Ok during the trip. I am grateful for her local knowledge and recommendations. Marina was so kind to show me around her beautiful city of Trogir. I spent the morning there and it felt like I was catching up with an old friend! Apartment Sara in Split was ideal! Sara, the owner, kindly met my Uber at the bus stop. Located 5-7 minutes walk from the port and the Palace, this was ideal for me! Milk, fresh fruits and coffee were already in the apartment and Sara pointed out the grocery and two 24-hr bakeries just outside the apartment. Sara gave me the first wonderful restaurant recommendation of the trip Bokamorra and how to easily get to Marjan Hill. My first tour, Diocletian Palace, was guided by Tanya. Though the weather was not the best, I had a wonderful time with Tanya learning about the city of Split. We genuinely lost track of the time! I felt like a local after the tour, finding restaurants and walking around the Palace like a pro, enjoying an early morning coffee watching people start their day on the Riva and in the Palace. Zipline In Omiš was fabulous! Our guides Domina and Josef were amazing! They were friendly, skilled and helped with all the pictures and videos! Toni and Frana (sp?) from Portal Tours did a wonderful job of the visit to Plitvice National Park. I spent another wonderful day in Salona with Nina learning about the Roman ruins and more about Croatia’s history. She was also very kind to offer me a return ride to Split! It was then on to Dubrovnik via bus. The journey was pleasant though had many stops. Crossing the Croatian and Bosnian borders were seamless. Apartment Franka was the perfect location inside the Old Town but in a quiet section (and a bonus of the Storia pizzeria and Gianni ice cream just steps away!). The Dubrovnik walking tour with Ivana was truly enjoyable. Ivana was friendly and very thorough! She provided a wonderful description of each part of the town with interesting stories from a local perspective. My cousin and I walked the Walls the next day as well as took the cable car to Mount Srd and were in awe of the beauty of Dubrovnik. Next, Marina guided us on an excellent Dubrovnik food and wine tour. She provided us with information on both Croatian food and history. We visited 4 establishments, with generous portion sizes of typical local dishes and wines. My visit to Croatia was everything I expected and more! I highly recommend kimkim and Marina if you are planning a visit to Croatia. You are guaranteed a vacation that is tailored specially to you!
