What you'll do
Your memorable hunt for the northern lights begins with a warm welcome and a brief introduction by your local guides and aurora hunters. From Tromsø's city center, you'll be picked up and whisked away from the light pollution and into the Arctic wilderness, featuring jagged-peaked mountains, serene fjords, and expansive valleys.
Along the way, your guides will make multiple stops to ensure you capture the beauty of any wildlife and the scenery. The route is flexible and dictated by the weather conditions to maximize your chances of witnessing the elusive aurora borealis. Sometimes, this might even mean crossing the Finnish border to find clear skies, so don't forget your passport!
Throughout the adventure, you'll be treated to snacks and hot drinks, keeping you comfortable in the Arctic cold. Your guides will also take photos of the excursion and share them the next day, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the experience without worrying about capturing the perfect shot. The unpredictability of Arctic nature adds an element of thrill to the chase, making each sighting of the northern lights even more special. After an awe-filled evening, you'll be conveniently taken back to your hotel.
