Location

The Coco-Mat Jumelle is in the heart of Kolonaki, just a block up from the major thoroughfare of Vassilis Sofias. Despite being close to a big street, the Coco-Mat is quiet and sound-proofed, so guests can enjoy its calm atmosphere. Travelers can reach the bottom of Lycabettus Hill in about 10 minutes by foot or head in the opposite direction to get to Syntagma Square in the same amount of time. The Acropolis is 25 minutes by foot, while the closest metro of Evanggelismos is just five minutes away walking.

Rooms & Bathrooms

The 56 rooms of the Coco-Mat Jumelle are spread across its two buildings and 45 of them are in the Modern building. The rooms vary in size but all of them include Coco-Mat products, such as mattresses, linens, and bathrobes, so regardless of the size you book, you’ll definitely sleep well. The standard rooms can run a bit small at 215 square feet (20 sqm) and the bed is the focus of these rooms, which also include a small desk but don’t have storage space besides an exposed hanging rack. 

It’s worth noting that the lack of storage seems to be a trend in many hotels in Athens, which may include a clothing rack and not much else. Folks looking for more space or those traveling with families are better off booking one of the suites, which offer space, privacy, and more options to hide your suitcase somewhere. Those looking for the high ceilings and open space of a Neo-classical house will enjoy the rooms in the Neo-classical building.
