Cons

• The 24/7 airport shuttle is nice but runs only every 20 minutes (less frequent than neighboring hotels).
• There's no on-site restaurant, and the hotel only serves breakfast in a small dining area.
• It's located near the airport and beside a major highway, so some noise should be expected.

It's on the smaller side of a chain hotel, with only 100 rooms across two stories, which also carries over to the size of the lobby and breakfast area.

Location

If staying near San José's major transportation hubs is your goal, the location doesn't get much better than this. The hotel is practically next door to the Juan Santamaria Airport, the Pan American Highway, and the Bulevar Aeropuerto train station, which can take you into downtown San José to see sites like the Gold Museum, Jade Museum, and National Theater. You'll also be near several car rental agencies, the City Mall, and a few restaurants.

The rooms and bathrooms are what you'd expect from a Holiday Inn—clean and simple with basic amenities. The WiFi is fast, and the hot water is plentiful. Some rooms have a desk with a comfortable office chair, which is a nice perk if you're working while traveling.
