Authenticity

Hotel Nord 1901 is in a beautifully restored building from 1846. Though rooms feel modern and less authentic than they could be, the owners preserved some of the building's original charm and character. You'll enjoy a few original features, such as the high ceilings, intricate tile floors, and arched doorways and balconies. 

Location

Though not in the historic Jewish Quarter, you'll be just a two-minute walk from the Old Town via the scenic Red Bridge (Pont de les Peixateries Velles), which crosses the Onyar River. Both the Girona Cathedral and the Arab Baths are just a seven-minute walk away. And when you're at the hotel, you'll be on a busy yet charming shopping street with very little car traffic, which makes the terrace a good place to relax.

Hotel Nord 1901 offers contemporary rooms, suites, and apartments, each with modern amenities and some providing private balconies or terraces. The rooms and general feel a bit elegant with dark-wood furnishing and warm tones but offer just the standard furnishings. Suites have more space and private outdoor spaces, and apartments are bright and airy with original tiled flooring and wood-beamed ceilings.

The hotel's terrace features a pool, a sundeck with plenty of loungers, and a bar, all surrounded by greenery, so it's a pretty relaxing place. Grab a drink at the bar and enjoy your time swimming, reading a book, or sunbathing. You'll also find a restaurant at the hotel, L'Assaig, which provides traditional cuisine using local products and contemporary techniques, served in a stylish dining room or on the terrace. It's open every day for lunch and Wednesday through Saturday for dinner.
