Zubimusu Park is right next door, and Ondarreta Beach is a nice 10-minute stroll. Since you'll be on the city's west side, you have easier access to the walking paths on Mount Igueldo, which offers truly beautiful city and bay views. The trade-off is being about 30 minutes by foot from the Old Town and cathedral, but you can always book a private car or taxi or jump on the bus for a faster journey.
