Walking into The Hideaway Hotel feels like walking into your home – imperfect and casual, but comfortable and welcoming. However, what it lacks in elegance it more than makes up for with the hospitality and quality of service you'd expect at a high-end hotel. Need something? Don't hesitate to ask, but I'd be surprised if you couldn't find it among their long list of amenities! This hotel was a favorite of mine in the region, and I know where I'll be staying if I'm lucky enough to return to Samara!

The Hideaway Hotel offers an inviting, relaxing tropical style. The small size of the hotel creates an intimate environment and the staff are all welcoming and helpful. The owner is also the manager, so travelers can expect to get the personal attention they need. 

Location

The hotel is located conveniently between Playa Sámara and Playa Carrillo in a quiet area, making it an ideal destination for those looking for a peaceful atmosphere. Both beaches are very accessible from the hotel, with just a quick walk down the street to Playa Sámara and about a 10-minute walk to Playa Carrillo. Travelers can also get to downtown Sámara in under 10 minutes by car. 

Rooms & Bathrooms

The property has six buildings, with two rooms in each. Rooms either come with two queen beds or one king bed, and all have a patio or deck. The rooms with king beds also have a couch and chair. All rooms come with various amenities, including an iron, safe, hair dryer, bath products, coffee maker and minifridge. There is also a penthouse suite, which is a great option for larger groups up to 10 people. It includes three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a full kitchen, and a washer and dryer. 

Other Highlights

The hotel offers a complimentary a la carte breakfast, along with lunch and dinner at its on-site restaurant. For dinner, it's recommended that guests make a reservation. The restaurant will also cook any fish guests might catch while on a fishing trip. The hotel provides towels and other beach necessities such as chairs, umbrellas, and mats for guests to borrow at no charge. There is also a night guard for added security and in case new guests arrive late.
