Pros

• The location of the Urban Frame will put you straight into the heart of Athens, so let go and just ride the wave of energy once you walk outside.
• The rooms that feature balconies and Acropolis or city views offer a feeling of awe.
• Some of the best restaurants in Athens are within a few blocks of the hotel.

Cons

• Noise levels from the street can be a bit loud, as the Urban Frame is located on a busy street in the middle of Syntagma.
• While the Urban Frame does have two lounge spaces, they’re quite small and cramped, particularly if you’re tall and want to sit in the mezzanine lounge.
• Some of the small rooms and small elevator can make things feel cramped and the hotel currently doesn’t have accessibility for those with different abilities.

Authenticity

For many people visiting Greece, Athens is a means to an end of the islands and the Urban Frame understands this reality. It’s a place for people with just a day or two to spend in Athens, who want to get as much done as possible while also feeling comfortable and well-rested. Its design may not scream “Greece!” but its location certainly does. Walk outside and stand under Hadrian’s Gate within five minutes, or head in the other direction to get to the bottom of the Acropolis in just ten.

Location

The Urban Frame is a bit of a nondescript building, but its location is pure Athens. Situated just five minutes by foot from Syntagma Square, the National Garden, Hadrian’s Gate, and the Temple of Zeus, the Urban Frame gives folks the chance to get anywhere they need. The Acropolis and Monastiraki Square and Metro are both ten minutes away walking, but really, this is a place where you can turn off Google Maps and just see where the streets take you.

Rooms & Bathrooms

The Urban Frame has 15 rooms, all of which are equipped with bedding by upscale Greek brand Cocomat. The more high-end rooms include views of the Acropolis and Lycabettus, as well as private terraces, and there are family room options. Standard rooms can feel small but still offer clean, modern style and comfortable beds. All rooms include a coffee machine and kettle (note that coffee and tea in the room are not complimentary) plus bathrobes and slippers.
