Ana Gutierrez

Traveling is what I love the most! I really enjoy traveling and discovering new amazing places, and people, for sure, but I also enjoy a lot of showing my favorite destinations to others, sharing experiences, flavors, adventures.
I'm happy to design unique experiences for you and tell you my best personal #AnaTips to enjoy in every spot of my beautiful country.

What places and activities do you specialize in?

"I can help travelers who are looking forward to discovering Argentina, with almost everything in the country, but I really love designing travel adventures, unique experiences, tailor-made itineraries, and personalized services, especially in the North of Argentina."

How did you get involved in travel?

"I’ve been traveling for a couple of years now, and I also have a degree in Tourism, so I can say that I like to travel and I know some stuff.
I started working in tourism while I was still studying at University, and after spending some time working in an office I decided to start traveling, becoming a solo traveler through Sudamerica. Then I realized what I really want to do (and what I enjoy doing the most), is share the beauty of my country with travelers from all over the world, showing others the amazing experiences and richness of culture we have in Argentina, and of course our delicious food and wines."

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"There are a lot of experiences I consider memorable, but I should say one of my favorites is walking around Iguazu Park and being impressed by the waterfalls. Discovering the amazing Patagonian lakes, and their colorful trees are also in my top 5.
And last but not least, I love the stunning landscapes at Salta and Jujuy, in the Argentinian Northwest."

O2 Hotel Buenos Aires
Buenos Aires

Basic hotel. Good location. The reason I gave 2 stars is the size of their beds. They are tiny! If the two single beds are together it’s an American queen size bed, not king. And if they are separate they are much more narrower than a regular single bed. On top of that, the pillows are very hard and puffy. And the fitted sheet for a single bed is larger than a bed. So basically you sleep very uncomfortable on the bare mattress all night (because the sheet will roll) and be tired with a neck pain in the morning. Unless you are small person and the queen size bed is ok for two people.

Very nice hotel, about 15 min from the town center, 20 min from the port, and like 30 min from the airport. Rooms are very nice with a view of a beautiful lake! Comfortable beds! Large jacuzzi. Bath robes in the room. Fireplace. Restaurant on premises. Breakfast is quite good, eggs are excellent! Staff is very kind and attentive 🙏. Has a spa facility - with a pool, dry and wet saunas, and couple lounges. My only advice to the hotel management is to make sure saunas are working as it should. We stayed 5 nights and it was a pleasure. Thank you!

We had a quick group tango lesson (by the same guy and a girl who danced in the show later), dinner, and a show. Everything was great! The lesson was fun. Food and wine were excellent. And the show was fantastic! The level of professionalism is top notch (very different from the dancers you see in La Boca restaurants or dancing on the streets). We really loved this night!

Travel Review: A Magical Journey Through Argentina

This long overdue heartfelt review is long overdue, as we want to extend our deepest gratitude to our incredible hosts. From start to finish, the customer service, scheduling, and meticulous attention to detail provided by our travel coordinator (Ana), guide (Flor), and driver (Mhervin) were nothing short of outstanding.

Upon our arrival in Buenos Aires, we were warmly welcomed by our guide, Flo, and Mhervin, who would look after us throughout our entire adventure. Their expertise and friendliness instantly made us feel at home in this vibrant city.

One of the highlights of our trip was the Tango lessons and dinner show. The experience was simply fabulous! We were immersed in the passion and artistry of Tango, enjoying every moment of its rich pageantry. It was a true celebration of Argentine culture that we’ll cherish forever.

Another unforgettable experience was our personal cooking class with Chef Paula at El Federal. What a delight it was to journey through the four regions of Argentina via its culinary offerings! Chef Paula was an exceptional instructor, guiding us through the preparation of traditional dishes. The joy of savoring our own creations was the cherry on top of a wonderful evening enjoying the food and our wonderful host.

A special thank you to Ana, our fantastic tour coordinator, for suggesting and scheduling these incredible experiences. She truly knows how to curate the perfect itinerary!

Flo, our guide, further enriched our trip with insightful walks and recommendations for dining at some of the best local spots. Our visit to La Bamba de Areco was particularly enchanting, with its tranquil ranch setting, stunning landscapes, and the opportunity to connect with horses and locals and horse whisperer.

Ana also arranged a magnificent excursion to El Calafate, where we marveled at the breathtaking Perito Moreno Glacier on the Blue Safari. The overnight stay at Los Ponchos Hotel Boutique was fabulous, with comfortable accommodations and delicious food that made our stay even more special.

We cannot thank Ana enough for the flawless air and ground connections she arranged for us, ensuring a seamless journey from Buenos Aires to El Calafate and back.

For anyone considering a fantastic holiday in Argentina, we wholeheartedly recommend utilizing KimKim and asking for Ana, Flo, and Mhervin. They are a dream team, and we can’t wait to return and experience more of Argentina— with our wonderful guides by our side!

Overall though, it ended with a high.

The Northwest regions of Argentina’s frontier lands, to stand on the Tropic of Capricorn, And who better to make it happen than my trusted friends at KimKim. Ana, my darling one of kind planner. Give her your wish list and she will make it happen. Take it from me, I’m hard to please and Ana didn’t fail me on this second go-a-around.

I can truly say that I’ve managed to see a forceful awe-inspiring wonder that is Argentina’s Northern provinces. Mendoza, Tunuyán, Luján de Cuyo, Salta, Cafayate, Maimará, Purmamarca, Tilcara, Humahuaca, Pucara de Tilcara, San Salvador de Jujuy, Guachipas, the Wetlands of Pellegrini, Lago Iberá. Folks you have to be in good physical shape for the wetlands, (no back injuries, no anxious behavior, or motion sickness if you are prone.) As this road is treacherous to getting to your destination. Approximately a 7 hour drive from Misiones to Corrientes to Pellegrini. But so worth it. If you are game. The beauty and its powerful effect of mindfulness and tranquility is absolutely incredible. A land untouched by time. Animal enthusiasts will sure want to experience this land.

A sincere shout out to the guides, drivers, and hotel staffs who become part of my family while visiting and exploring their beautiful country. Daniel- a kind sprint his dedication in getting up at an un-godly hour of the morning to take me to the airport in order to catch my domestic flights to my destinations. Ramiro my triple AAA 1# Trekking and mountain explorer who took me to 4500ft above sea level elevations just to catch a view of the highlands and into the life of the Vicuñas territory. Guided me through the Salinas Grandes Salt Flats, showed me the beautiful history of Andean culture and the ruins of Pucara de Ticara as old as 5000 bc. And managed to share a meal with me and my family in the Pena’s of Salta to drink and laugh hysterically as we listened to folklore music and the history of samba culture, where the youth of today still is passionate of its music and heritage that is Salta to this day. A beautiful and kind city full of music, dance, and history, and the best empanadas this side of my beautiful Mendoza. I can go on and on, but you need to experience this for yourselves. I’ve just given you a small taste of what South American means to me. My pachamama. Love to all. Sandra Rawlings

Taking pictures at the marvel coming down the street. Our guide Ramiro, knew one of the gauchos and flagged him over to where we were on the steps of the Cathedral and I took a picture with a gaucho. Getting my shoes shined by an old world traditional back in the 40's was a treat. We have always planned trips ourselves, however this trip we decided to use KimKim for our trip to Argentina and we could not have been more pleased.

The execution was completely flawless as we went from Buenos Aires to El Chalten and to El Calafate. Ana designed the trip based on our likes and everything was better than we could have expected. Our drivers were fantastic, always on time and ready to go and our guides were a 10 out of 10.

In Buenos Aires, Enrique showed us around the city with great detail and patience, while Aime showed us a fantastic time at the Estancia excursion. On the next leg of the trip, Monica met us in El Calafate to transfer us to El Chalten which was a highlight of our trip. Our hiking guide, Virginia, took us on a 9hr hike to the summit to view Fitz Roy and it was special. Virginia was informative, patient, fun to connect with and made our experience very special. On day 2 we did the rafting experience which, again, was fun and flawless. Next we ventured down to El Calafate where we visited Estancia Christina which was another unforgettable experience in remote Patagonia. Next, Vanessa met us and took us into Glacier National
Park for an unforgettable experience. After hiking the glacier, Vanessa spent the next 3 hours walking us along the walkways of the glacier and educated us on everything about the culture, the park, and the glacier.

In summation, all of our guides truly loved what they did and they took the time to share what they knew with us which made the experience that much better. Ana and the team from KimKim did an unbelievable job creating an itinerary that was perfect for us and delivered on everything from flights, transfers, guides, hotels, and overall execution. I’m not sure we have ever traveled and had everything go perfectly according to plan……until now! Thanks Ana and KimKim!

What a fantastic hike, however make sure you are prepared for a 9hr, 12.5 mile hike which will test you. This was our favorite excursion of our vacation. After approximately 4-5 hours you new h the summit and are treated to an unbelievable view of Fitz Roy and all of the accompanying scenery including beautiful teal colored lakes Our guide, Virginia, made our experience by observing the pace that made us feel most comfortable and never made us feel like we needed to move faster or slower. She explained all of the history of the different trails and mountains as well as the culture. It was easily our most memorable experience!

An absolute must experience! Words can’t describe the views and experience of hiking on the glacier. Our guide, Vanessa, met us at the hotel and took us into Glacier National Park for an experience of a lifetime. After the mini-trek hike on the glacier she then spent another couple of hours taking us along the walkways to view the glacier from a different view. All the while always patient and taking the time to educate us on the glacier and its’ history.
