As a fellow enthusiastic traveler, I’m all about immersing myself in diverse cultures and uncovering hidden gems off the usual tourist trail. I have a deep passion for nature and outdoor activities. I thrive on crafting unique travel experiences that combine my love for exploration with the great outdoors, whether it's trekking through lush forests or diving into crystal-clear waters. What sets me apart is my dedication to being a traveler rather than just a tourist—I seek authentic experiences and meaningful connections wherever I go. With a preference for slow travel, I enjoy taking the time to truly experience the beauty of Canada’s landscapes and connect with its people. From planning personalized itineraries to sharing insider tips, my goal is to create memorable journeys that offer a fresh perspective and unforgettable moments for every traveler I assist.
How did you get involved in travel?
"My journey into the world of travel began during my time at university with a few years in the hotel industry, where I cultivated a deep appreciation for hospitality and the art of making guests feel at home. However, my path took a detour into the realm of IT consulting, where I found myself constantly on the move, living out of my trusty backpack on wheels during countless business trips. Despite the demands of my work, I always made it a point to carve out time for exploration and adventure, seizing every opportunity to immerse myself in the local culture and uncover hidden gems wherever I found myself. When the pandemic hit and grounded me in one place, I realized just how much I missed the thrill of discovery and the joy of experiencing new places. Fuelled by this longing, I decided to pivot my career and channel my passion for travel into my work, combining my expertise in hospitality and technology to create unforgettable experiences for fellow adventurers. And so, here I am, embarking on a new chapter where my love for travel meets my professional aspirations, ready to share my passion with the world."
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"Having had the incredible privilege of diving with hundreds of hammerhead sharks in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Cocos Island (Costa Rica), right as we surfaced from a dive, we swam to the nearest beach in full dive gear, then hiked through the untouched jungle until we reached a stunning waterfall. We then climbed the rocks beside the waterfall only to reach yet another absolutely stunning waterfall pouring into a serene lake below. The feeling of jumping in the ice-cold water after having hiked in a thick neoprene diving suit in tropical weather is something I will never be able to forget. And combined with the surreal sensation of floating effortlessly in my diving suit, it was a moment of pure exhilaration, where the beauty of nature enveloped me, and the joy of swimming in a waterfall became an incredible experience."
