Traveling and connecting with local people is one of my favorite hobbies. I love exploring new places, discovering historical sites, meeting the locals, experiencing different cultures, and trying out delicious local cuisine. It's always a memorable experience for me.

What places and activities do you specialize in?

"I specialize in organizing adventure tours, specifically biking and trekking tours in Indochina, as well as off-the-beaten-path programs that offer unique experiences."

How did you get involved in travel?

"After finishing my four-year degree in tourism at Hanoi National University, I started working as a tour operator. This job allowed me to improve my English skills and assist travelers with designing their trips to Vietnam.
I have experience working as a tour operator and in tourism marketing and sales. With my in-depth knowledge of the tourism industry, I am confident that I can provide complete satisfaction to our clients."

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"I had an absolutely fantastic trip to the Mekong Delta, the second-largest rice basket of Vietnam, in September 2014. It was my first time there and I was accompanied by my colleagues. I really enjoyed exploring the lush fruit orchards in Vam Xang - Can Tho, cycling along small paths through the green coconut capital of Ben Tre, taking in the hustle and bustle of the Long Xuyen floating market in the morning, and trying out some of the delicious local dishes. The memories of my trip still bring a smile to my face."

Even though the weather was not sunny, the Ha Long Bay was mysterious, when shrouded in clouds. We arrived in Ha Noi, after a busy weekend in Saigon at a wedding but we felt that we could relax the first two nights in our hotel and also on the one night on Capella Cruise. The meals cruise meals were fantastic. We only joined the rooftop 6:00 AM Tai Chi activity, which in the mist of Halong Bay was so memorable. Our driver, Guong? (Means strong in English) was sweet and helpful at every turn). He used English as best he could to point out important sites. Our guide Mr. Win was knowledgeable, but he seemed tired, especially on the first day. I don’t feel we learned a lot about the Old Capital. The Pagoda was OK. Our guide seemed young and in need of some better social skills. Our rower on the Tam Coc tour was amazing, and my husband asked a lot of questions through our guide about the life in that Ninh Binh area. I loved the cooking class in the traditional house. The young woman (never caught her name) was quite fluent in English, and helped her aunt in teaching us recipes.

Capella Cruise
Halong

Our room was a river level with a deck, and was so peaceful and elegantly appointed. The meals were superior, and we especially like the salad bar area. I think the desserts could have more variety, but that is minor. They had a self-made dark honey that I had every meal with yogurt. We were tired from our busy weekend and traveling from Saigon, but never felt pressured to go to the many activities offered. We are so glad that we didn’t miss the Tai chi on the roof of the boat at 6:00 AM with misty mountains in the background and the Vietnamese zither playing. Such a memorable experience. All the crew were very nice and did multiple duties with joy. I would recommend, to someone (Cruise companies, government, Heritage committees, etc), that a greater effort be made to keep the bay clean. I did not want to go swimming in it because of the many pieces of floating trash. Eventually this will get worse, and tourists won’t want to come.

All the guides and drivers were very prompt in meeting us at the airports and hotels. I never worried that we would be on our own, and they took great care of us. My favorite experience was riding on a scooter in Ho Chi Minh City on a food tour. I never thought I would get to do that! The most beautiful city, for me, was Hoi An. We had a wonderful time bike riding in the countryside with our guide, Long, All in all, a most memorable trip to a beautiful and complicated country.

The hotels chosen for us were also lovely, comfortable and well-located. She handled communications with the local guides and it was a truly hassle free trip. Highly recommended!

Advertised as a replica junk with sails but there were no sails. It was poorly maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed our mother/daughter trip to North and Central Vietnam in December. Huyen was great to work with – accommodating and flexible. She provided many options, listened to our requests, and tailored our trip to suit our needs. We were able to enjoy a few days on our own exploring the cities and finding activities like temple of literature, water puppet show, tailored clothes, Hoi An at night among others to do.
Highlights of our custom itinerary included Hanoi Street food tour, a day trip to Ninh Binh, an overnight cruise on Ha Long Bay (kayaking and incredible views), cooking class, basket boat, ba na hills, etc. Our tour guides, Long (Hanoi) and Han (Hoi An) were fantastic – very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of their cities and cultures. They gave us recommendations for the best pho, bahn mi, cafes and restaurants for an incredible dining experience. Activities like spa and lantern making were perfectly suggested for a rainy day in Hoi An. The drivers were always on time. Having KimKim take care of all the hotel reservations, airport/road transfers, some meals, domestic flights, etc. made our trip so much more enjoyable and stress free. Highly recommend that to anyone planning a vacation to a foreign country or want a worry-free experience.
There were some miscommunications about dietary restrictions which led to our guides believing we required vegetarian meals which wasn’t true. We wish we had been able to try more of the local cuisine rather than catering to something we didn’t want.
Our thanks to KimKim for so many memorable moments. We enjoyed it all!

We REALLY enjoyed our countryside adventures in Vietnam and the 3 days in Cambodia were amazing. Our guide - Chansip - was very knowledgeable and also so accommodating to tweak our itinerary once he got to know us. Chang Mai was the highlight of our journey and the morning at the elephant sanctuary rates as one of our top lifetime experiences.
Huyen was ultra supportive throughout the trip. She always stayed connected, assisted with flight info and boarding passes and anything else we needed help with.
We would recommend KimKim and their services to travellers of all experience levels. We could just sit back and enjoy our holiday with the personalized: service that was offered.
