Kamilla Sengwein-Reti

I was born and raised in Hungary and moved to Vienna after high school. As the child of two travel agents, travel has always been a key part of our family lifestyle. We went on city trips, hiking trips, road trips, and camping adventures all over Central Europe.

Since then, I have visited many countries with family, friends, my husband, and alone. Traveling is amazing. I am a foodie who loves adventure and the outdoors. I cherish being in the moment, going offline, and enjoying sunsets—whether in the woods on a van trip or at a rooftop bar in a vibrant city.

What places and activities do you specialize in?

"I expertly mix action and relaxation. Raised by passionate travelers, I find perfect spots, from cozy Heurigers to hidden gems, combining city trips with nature and scenic views."

How did you get involved in travel?

"I grew up in Hungary, where my parents ran their own travel agency, specializing in Hungarian weekend offers. My father founded the first online travel agency in the country with a unique concept: you could purchase or bid on trips. I have the privilege of having parents who are travelers, so it was quite easy for me to become one as well. Fast forward to after I finished my business studies in Vienna, where I now live, I founded and ran a hostel with my now-husband (Clemens, who is also a specialist in this field). Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, we had to close it in 2022. Traveling has taught me so much about how to appreciate life, and I am utterly grateful that I can travel as much as I do, exploring new places, cultures, and getting to know new people."

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"I am a huge waterfall fan. Reading this question made me think immediately of my waterfall moments. The most picturesque one was recently in Mexico at the Cascadas de Agua Azul. Our accommodation was very close to the waterfall, and I woke up before sunrise to walk up to the top of the waterfall. It was loud but quiet at the same time—no other travelers or tourists were there yet. The sun hadn’t risen, and everything had this mysterious vibe. It was overwhelming and beautiful, such a great and happy moment to dive into. I thought I would share it with the family, so I made video messages for them—fun fact: no one could understand a word because the waterfall was too loud. The lesson: be in the moment :)

As the small shop owners started to get ready for the day, one of them made me a breakfast pancake as a good morning present. I could enjoy my breakfast, savoring the breeze and sound of the waterfall on one side, and the rainforest and the locals preparing for the day on the other. Such a beautiful start to the day."
