Margarita Moreno
Welcome to your exceptional journey through Colombia. I’ve got a degree in hotel and tourism administration, enriched by history and heritage studies. Currently, I’m pursuing a Master's in Project Management in Madrid. With this background, I bring a profound understanding of how to craft luxury travel experiences that transcend the ordinary.
Having explored nearly every corner of our breathtaking country, I can connect you authentically with our culture, steering clear of the typical tourist routes. My global travels have given me a broad perspective on what makes your trip special.
While I love the Amazon, I must confess—I’ve got a spider phobia. I’ve never crossed paths with one of the big, hairy ones—and I’d like to keep it that way.
Here’s something only my friends know about me—I never wear the Colombian football team’s jersey when they play. Every time I do, they lose. So, I cheer them on wholeheartedly, just without the jersey.
Welcome to ‘The Colombian Trip.’ Let me offer you a travel experience that exceeds your expectations.
How did you get involved in travel?
"The first book I ever read was a travel guide. Its pages unfolded landscapes I could almost feel beneath my feet—lush jungles, towering mountains, and vibrant towns. From that moment, I couldn’t stop dreaming about discovering my country.
So, I did it!
My studies in hospitality and tourism allowed me to dive deeper into Colombia’s rich history and cultural heritage—not just as facts, but as living, breathing elements of our everyday world. And I bow to our country’s greatest treasure—its welcoming people.
That’s what I want to share with you
"
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"An experience that stands out took place in the Coffee Triangle, specifically the Cocora Valley. The towering wax palms rising through the mist of cloud forests were awe-inspiring. Wandering through the towns of Filandia and Salento was magical. However, meeting the passionate coffee farmers, proudly sharing their stories about upholding traditions passed down through generations, made it unforgettable

Zipaquirá & Nemecón Salt Mines Day-Trip
A mere 50 minutes north of Bogotá lies the town of Zipaquirá, which became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007. While certainly a charming colonial town, Zipaquirá is a must-visit Colombian destination for one single landmark: the Salt Cathedral, located just outside of town. This is indeed a...
Guatapé Day Trip
The town of Guatapé is one of the crown jewels of central Colombia's Antioquia region. There are a few reasons for this, not the least of which is El Peñol, a 7,000-foot (2,135-meter) granite rock that rises out of the ground like a giant silver bullet. A private eight-hour tour of the town...
Cartagena City Tour
Cartagena, abounding as it is with cobbled streets lined by colonial homes with bougainvilia-draped balconies, is a city that begs to be explored on foot. And a guided walking tour of the UNESCO World Heritage walled city (Old Town) is the perfect way to do this. It's a brisk 2.5-hour tour that...
