Mariana Luna De Bettin

My name is Mariana Luna De Bettin and I'm a travel designer at MacDermott's Argentina.
I am currently living with my family in Patagonia (Bariloche).
After finishing school, I decided to study tourism and I have been working in the field since I was 21 years old.
I have been dedicated to the travel and inbound tourism sector for almost 18 years now, and it is truly a privilege for me to be able to offer my beautiful country, highlighting what makes it unique and offering unparalleled experiences.

What places and activities do you specialize in?

"Our trips are carefully tailored using our on-the-ground knowledge of Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay and the strong relationships that we have built with our partners. We specialize in unique and off-the-beaten-track experiences as well as the very personal attention we give to our guests while they are here. "

How did you get involved in travel?

"Since I was a little girl, I have always enjoyed nature and the great outdoors. Growing up, I had the privilege to travel across Argentina and beyond into the rest of South America, discovering so many of the region's hidden treasures. In love with my country, (especially with Patagonia!) I decided to pursue a tourism degree to share my experiences.
After more than eighteen years of helping people explore, I continue traveling, now with my own family, passing on my knowledge to my children; to see their faces light up with fascination and amazement with each new experience is the best experience of all"

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"In 2019, I had the fantastic opportunity to visit El Chaltén and could hike in some of the treks. On the first day, I hiked to Mirador de las Aguilas, and I stopped to rest in a little forest. and could hear nothing, the silence was extreme and blew my mind. It was just one of many incredible experiences that I have been having in my beautiful country."
